Whatever happened. I can understand that some people, including me, can’t befriend with the thought that they’re just replacing people of their “family”. Imagine a show would do that. Just replace cumberbatch (after years) with someone else who’s walking by. And expect that we are all happy with that, will not say a word and silently keep watching. Although we all know that it is not exactly the same, it is still what “john” and others are doing right now. I don’t know what happened there that caused the decision to stop interacting with consultsherlock. But this is not exactly the best solution. Also, it happened very abruptly to the fans and apparently sherlock. And they just want us to continue like nothing happened and not question anything. Nah.

While they're waiting on ice cream, Rumi fills Jay in on Hazel and Mischa a little bit, just for idle chatter*  Mischa isn't really Hazel's girlfriend. I mean, not officially. They haven't done any kind of paperwork for it.. but I think Hazel's gonna ask her soon.

*Jay tries a few samples of the flavors that Rumi likes as well, paying when they finally choose, and leading Rumi back toward his car* Paperwork? For what?

I know this is just a silly scene full of idle chatter and ice cream, but like... YOU were the one who wanted that kind of scene to begin with, and then YOU were the one who acted like he was too fucking bored to even BOTHER

And it wasn’t just for the filler scenes. You did this for the important, pivotal, stuff as well. For ll the huge action scenes and big emotional scenes. After two or three kind-of decent replies THIS is all I would get form you for the whole rest of the scene

So we had a bad Starfinder game yesterday...

Ok, personnal, but I need to vent a bit.

Started with this new system, for two games it went fine.

GM is a generally cool guy. I play a funny character inspired by a teenage TV show. My bf plays a lawful evil android mercenary. The two other players... they don’t really play a character. They play as themselves.

So when my bf does something evil (but absolutely not harmful to the group), they fail to comprehend, and just want to put him aside. Bf finds a way to try to negociate with them (like “hey I’m a mercenary, just hire me!”), and they refuse. They don’t want to RP. They don’t want him to RP, so that the group can work.

Bf spent an awful moment after that, not being able to RP, in a freakin’ table top roleplay game. Deep into social anxiety, just “pressing the buttons”. I was not very motivated either. What if I had also been evil? They would just throw me aside too. Also one of the players was just browsing Facebook on his portable computer the whole time, not being attentive, and we’re all learning this new system and NEED to be attentive. It’s already long enough as it is, and we need to repeat stuff, ugh.

So when the GM asked if we liked the game at the end, my bf had to say that he didn’t, and he didn’t want to be a part of it anymore. And well, I understand, I mean, what’s the point of a RP game where your RP gets denied? Which is sad, because we wanted to be in a game together for once (usually he’s the GM).

We discuss after the game. We have trouble sleeping, just thinking about this situation. He’s tired today, I’m tired today. I hope he’s going to be ok at his job.

I said that I’d continue the game, but I’m not sure I’d like to anymore. If I’m just going to do the motions, might as well just play a videogame. And the GM already found a replacement for my bf. If the new player is going to have zero RP like the others, it won’t be worth it, might as well bail out too, and find another game for me and le bf. >_>
