Memories

I stand in the corner between a chain link fence and a cargo container in a silicone mask, Im very still, I hear people approaching “are they they real? Its to dark I cant-“ just as the one talking passes me and I lunge forward screaming the mask with a long tongue jiggles and I scare them, they dont scream but laugh and keep walking suddenly as I still one of the first ones double back, he reaches over and hits me on my chest. Im disgusted by the act I look over to my security and hes on the cold hard ground doing pushups.

The evil and, worse, mismanaged Empire

I wouldn’t call myself a Star Wars fan, but I do like how consistent it is that the Empire’s real weaknesses are systemic mismanagement, overinvestment in infrastructure instead of people, and failure to make the regular workforce have confidence that they will be supported if they strictly enforce internal rules. Honestly think my (fairly large) employer could improve its security training if they just showed a few scenes from Star Wars and said “don’t do this! Challenge internal authority when it breaks rules that it does not have relevant role-based permissions for! If anyone says to break the rules because they are the boss of your boss, DO NOT DO IT, AND FILE A REPORT! Our internal culture is not as toxic as the Empire’s!” (Which is true, though also not saying much).
