Forgive me for this please
i am once again thinking about books i loved as a kid
I just saw your post saying that you die a little inside every time you see someone call blackdale a good and healthy ship, and I was just wondering what you dislike about it? No hate, I just love hearing other people's thoughts and perspectives
Hey! Yeah, no problem! Sorry this took awhile!! 😄
It's honestly Lucie, mainly.
The whole dynamic of their ship is that Jesse is a ghost and Lucie can control ghosts.
Immediate red flag, if one partner in a relationship can literally force the other to do whatever they want, with no consequences whatsoever.
Lucie uses her powers on Jesse in book 1. After he tells her not to.
She then promises not to use her powers on him again.
Another red flag. That's how abusive relationships start. With one party doing something completely unacceptable and then promising not to do it again.
Because she then comes disgustingly close to doing it without his consent.
What that actual fuck. You don't say that to someone who you just said you loved.
It's the "But," that is vile. She was going to defend it.
I can't stand it.
Another thing is that Jesse has been dead for seven years, so not only does that make him like- 25 or something, but he also hasn't interacted properly with anyone outside of his sister for 7 years. Him falling in love with the first girl who talks to him doesn't sit right at all.
There's more, but it's escaping me rn. Sorry!
Can we talk somewhere about the last episode of Rick and Morty and what the writers did to us poor shippers who were trying to live a simple life? Nope because it fucked me up and now my passion is reignited
