Me being the clutz I am nearly broke my pinky on my right hand last night and I just went out furniture shopping and smacked my head really hard on a low hanging light. Boi, what’s next? Am I going to get hit by a car???

This weekend was just a mess and I can’t get through another week
I hate weekends now. I don't ever do shit. I still hate school more, but at least on weekdays I can look forward to comming home and just laying on my bed doing nothing...
Monday, Monday
Good Monday morning to you out there in the blogosphere.
My weekend wound up being a bit of a bust. I got my hair highlighted and the end result was not at all what I expected, and instead of being a normal person and requesting that they fix it at the original salon I left and went to another salon to have them fix it.
While this did fix my hair issue (please read trauma because it was!) it ended up costing me an additional $40 that I could have spent on cute clothes at Fashion Island for my upcoming trip to Southern California. I thought I was going to get a faded highlight that would make it look like I had spent time on the beach, blond ends and time in the sun. A highlight Gisele would be jealous of. What I ended up with was overly blonde locks that clashed with my dark brunette natural color, and fire engine red. Which meant when mixed together it was more of an orange tone that started half way down my head.
Not cute.
But I had it fixed, toned down a little, so now you can barely see the original highlights, but...lesson learned be very, very clear about what you want for your hairdos. Hair don'ts are far too traumatizing to deal with rationally.
Then I went speed dating. Which ended up not being awful, but wasn't exactly what I was expecting either. I am not sure if any love connections were made, which was not something I was expecting, but I also don't think that a five minute conversation will get you very far.
I ended up talking more about the weather then I wanted to or probably should have. Thills and a half this one. In my defense, when people ask if I like living in ATX I have to say yes for the most part, with the qualification that the firebeast gates of hell temperatures that we "enjoyed" all summer were a little too much for me. So what I liked to do was sit in front of the AC or in a dark movie theater, in the AC....not run around, shop, hike, generally go out doors like I may otherwise during the summer in more reasonable climates.
On Friday, I had signed up for my first ever 5K that I would have run on Sunday.
Except that there was a downpour and lightening that ended up causing the race to be cancelled. So I got a $55 goodie bag and a t-shirt for a 5K I did not run. The rain was much needed and while it has increased the humidity levels, it has decreased the temperature to the 80's so I will take the rain and eat the cost of the race.
You better believe I went to get the bag o' stuff though because the race is not going to be rescheduled. And I do not get a credit for another race in the same series.
Teaches me a lesson to not be active. :)
The weekend redeemed itself when I went to a restorative yoga class with lots of relaxing poses and some deep, deep stretching.
All in all a bust of a weekend, but at least I had plenty of time to watch the drama unfold for Kim and Kris's big day.
Two day event people. Get ready for the main event tonight. Also, was it really necessary for a two day event?
