The Badalisc is a monster from Italian folklore, said to live in the woods around the village of Andrista, in the commune of Cevo. It has goat-like skin, small horns and glowing eyes.
The Badalisc is a nuisance, coming into the village to harass the residents. An annual celebration is held during Epiphany, in which a representation of the creature is lured in by a young woman and captured by the men of the village. The Badalisc is brought into the village square and reveals the sins of the villagers, before being released back into the woods.
