Hiya! This isn’t a request, it’s more of a thank you letter. Being a trans guy and reading reader inserts can feel like navigating a minefield. Sometimes you think you’re safe until the wrong pronoun pops. Your writing reminds me, as well as people like me, are seen, heard and valid. This is really lovely to read, honestly. I really appreciate that you took the time to send me this. This blog of mine is a bit dead, but despite that, I’m still writing for other fandoms, and I keep the same principals. I always try to write for more male readers and GN readers because of exactly that. Being trans in the reader community is really, really stifling sometimes.
Granted, it makes me feel a little anxious to know that my fics are some of the few that we get to feel validated and seen in, but it makes me strive to be that much better of a writer. So when I provide content for the minority, for us, it’s really really good.
Thank you so much for your kind words, they truly mean a lot to me. I’ve always hoped to be the writer that I am today, so it’s good to know that it’s working. I love writing stuff for us. Even if it’s not something that gets a bunch of notes - whatever. That’s not the point. The point is to include people who are rarely included. I love reader inserts a lot, lol.
