Yet Another Thing...
So my friend Nick and I have started working on a reviewing blog right here on tumblr called 'Good Critic, Bad Critic'.
You should check it out. You know, when you're not busy. Like right now.
That is all.
So, an introduction?
Good evening folks. I'm Brendon, and I'm the Bad Critic.
And no, this is not me saying that I'm a bad critic. That's me saying I'm the critic that's gonna get on the nerves of any warm-blooded creature that actually said that they enjoyed Law-Abiding Citizen or thought that the Twilight saga deserves an Oscar.
I'm also gonna be the guy that's probably going to have the most wide-reaching looks at the movies you're looking forward to, and its players. You can look at film in many different ways. In one sense, it plays a critical part in us as societies looking at ourselves, better understanding the large narratives that run our spaces in ways that we can actively experience instead of theorize on. In another sense, acting is a martial arts tournament. Actors have their own styles, and scenarios where they are most efficient. Directors are the coaches that take people to their peak. And then there's the favorites that finally win a belt - or, in this case, an Oscar.
I'm gonna try to look at it in all those ways for you guys. And I'm gonna be real about it. You have been warned.
