Send 🗝 to force my muse to talk about a topic they never want to speak of

“When I was going to face Yugi in the final duel. And… all my friends were told, I was going to die if I lost…”
Atem hugged his arms around his stomach as if it would somehow help. “They…not one of them tried to stop me.” He shook his head. “No one said, Atem you deserve to live. You deserve a life with us, your friends.” He felt his eyes well up with tears.
“They just let me die. For what? Fate? Destiny? The will of the fucking gods?!” Atem was shaking now holding back tears. “I never got to live! I died twice and neither time had a life.” He shook his head. “I wish I HAD invited Seto. He would have told me I was an idiot. To fight for what I wanted. To fuck fate and the gods and destiny and crush it beneath my feet. At least he would have tried to stop me. At least he would have fought for my life…”
Hot Day
Starter for @bad-decision-central
“Alright, two double scoop ice cream cones coming right up,” he grinned as he held one out to Joey as he sat beside him on the bench. It was a hot day, too hot for his liking so ice cream sounded absolutely fantastic.
“I can’t wait for summer to be over. I like the beach and all, but I’m ready for autumn.”

Sometimes Atem walked the streets of downtown in the early morning hours when the only people to see where the street cleaners, and an occasional delivery driver. Atem couldn’t imagine running into someone he knew at this time of the morning. He liked downtown. All it’s shops and the architecture of the buildings. It was a strange mix of old and new and Atem liked it. He passed an all night curry shop and the smell caught his interest. When had he last eaten? It had to have been at least six hours ago...Perhaps he should place a to-go order... He would wait until he was ready to head back home, for now, he was going to walk a little more and enjoy the sleeping city.
@bad-decision-central for Kaiba Atem bit back a yawn bitterly. Yawning did no good when you refused to sleep. Atem missed sleeping. He had to admit he had always loved to sleep and now that he couldn’t well...if you were to ask him about it, he’d likely be extremely cranky with his answer. But he couldn’t just sit around in his house. He had tried baking and he almost fell sleep in the middle of making a fruit compote, so he settled for walking instead. He wasn’t even certain where he was, because he was too exhausted to care. It wasn’t as if he was worried about the dangers of the back streets of Domino. It could hardly truly be called organized crime as far as Atem was concerned, besides, those idiots had a run in with Malice and now they would never bother him again. Not that was what he wanted. Atem was cleaning up blood and bodies for HOURS. He turned in a circle. “Alright, just where the hell am I and how do I get back home...”
😳 Any embarrassing kinks?
🕯 Thoughts on wax play?
Atem looked at the question. "Ah...I don't know what constitutes embarrassing?" Honestly admitting any of this was embarrassing. "I'm learning I like pain. Biting, marking and possibly knife play?" "I've never tried it." he tilted his head and opened his phone to watch a quick video. "Alright, I think I'd absolutely enjoy wax play both giving or receiving."
"Oh wow, I totally couldn't tell," Joey grumbled, getting goosebumps when Atem whispered. As good as sometimes was at flustering others, he was just as easy to fluster.
Atem smirked at Joey as he pulled back. "You're flustered aren't you?" Nothing gave Atem more vibrato than someone who was affected by his teasing.
"Hm, looks like the Gods don't favor you all that much," what an amusing thought.
Another step forward and Maahes cocked his head, eyes narrowing into slits," Don't act like I didn't have my reasons."
Reasons he wouldn't give the other the luxury of hearing if asked, but reasons nonetheless.
As for Atem's question," A couple of Gods were in favor of my return," on reflex he bitterly rubbed at the golden collar around his throat," With some drawbacks."
Benefits too, but Maahes would've preferred a more discreet double-edged sword.
Atem shrugged. "The gods only care for themselves. I'm not surprised at this point." He hated them and wouldn't help a damn one of them. He did nod at the other then. "You did. I don't blame you for your anger. But I wonder if you know the truth, or if they kept it from you ask well." Atem had been eyeing the collar the whole time. "I was wondering, but ah that makes sense. You've been used by them too I see. Have you tried getting it off?"
