Faebruary day four!! Faerie of the Mounds.
@tockthegnome context: The Good Neighbors the Good Neighbors the Good Neighbors!! 💗 .......Who, being the Tuatha Dé Danann and their descendants, they who went into the mounds of Earth specifically and became fae, do not technically exist in Tock's realm.
However.
It seems that in their haste to leave Earth, some of them overshot the magic of it all and may have ended up further into Faerie itself than anticipated.
At least echoing into this realm.
At the same time that the Brogh came into being, influencing their vibe so we, as lowly humans reading this tale, perceive them with a Celtic bent.
Fun fact: Math had to happen to figure out how that exodus on Earth lined up with the Brogh's manifestation here, which led to math about how long it's been on Earth vs. how long it's been here, which led to two bits of information. Firstly, as time passes more quickly in this pocket of Faerie than on Earth, 1 Earth year is equal to roughly 7 1/2 years in this realm. Secondly, at the time of Tock's quest, it is year 402 BCE on Earth.
(AND, important reestablishment: As has been mentioned before, this realm is also quite removed in space and energy from Earth itself, so humans will NOT be appearing in this story. It is fun, and weirdly reassuring, though, to know exactly what the humans are up to while Tock is gallivanting across this other world, causing well-intentioned chaos.)
