Actually I wanna see Isabeau be more jealous platonically. Make him very defensive over Mirabelle or vy for Odile's attention and approval. I wanna see him visibly droop when Bonnie goes to give him a hug and runs past him at the last second to give it to Siffrin. Have him get all starry eyed when Petronille admits both of them are friends now.

And be so so upset when anyone divides their attention anywhere else outside their friend group. Inhales and sighs, looks away and twiddles his thumbs to not be vocal about it. Trying so hard to keep it in when everyone can tell Isabeau wants their attention.

Mmmmm Odile and Loop family tale talks.

Which Odile starts her own family tale. Not to pass down to anyone but just to satisfy herself. Different stories she would've loved as a child or stories she finds interesting. It's something she does in her private time away from everyone, asking locals about regional bed times stories and myths. A mishmash of Ka Buan and Vaugardian tales.

When Odile first meets Loop she doesn't recognize them of course. What she does see is a traveling bard with a non-Vaugarde accent that's only gonna stay with them for a short while. So yeah she asks them about it and Loop obliges. Strangely wistful bard but it's not her business.

And they keep it up, Odile and Loop hangouts consisting of funny anecdotes from different countries and answering all her questions. Odile's family tale gets filled out much much faster because of it.

Their dynamic changes when Odile finds out that the bard is in fact the strange star guide from Dormont but all the tales talk do endear her to Loop.

Loop joining the friends on their leisure journey around Vaugarde: It's only for a day then we'll part ways. Just a super brief visit, in and out. I can totally be normal about them.

Loop around the campfire watching everyone laugh: Oh yeah these are the people I died a thousand times for. I better leave now, I cannot be normal about them.

Mmmmm bard Loop messing around with different kinds of puppetry for fun. At first they try picking up wood carving but they don't find the same joy in it anymore so that's done. They play around with finger puppets for a bit, folding simple mouths out of paper. Then they kinda get into it, making more intricate articulated paper dolls. And then Loop plays with light, messing around with shadow puppetry. A simple booth to have paper puppets in front of the screen and behind the screen for shadow play.

Incidentally Vaugarde as a whole has not seen lil booth plays like this so Loop the bard is so popular. Having this person come through a recovering country still fresh from the King's March they're willing to trade a meal for a novelty. Perhaps board for a single night. A simple enough incentive for Loop to keep doing this and ignore how much they like being a narrator and making puppets.

Actually touch starved Isabeau capital C Changing into a big strong man so he can offer manly hugs without coming off as needy and instead thoughtful and supportive.

hhhhhhhhh sadness mouser Siffrin where they actively find Sadnesses to kill because they need an outlet and violence is a very easy answer (too easy but hey it's not themselves so). Vaugardians are grateful for the clear roads but the family is concerned™.

And one night Odile follows Siffrin and observes them hacking away at like thirty Sadnesses before she stops him. And not to chide or lecture about the bad coping mechanism because that's a losing battle in the middle of the night. It's to correct their battle stance. "Gems alive Siffrin you're channeling too much paper craft into your dagger. It's a surprise you haven't accidentally shot anyone like that, where did you learn to do that?"

And both of them walk away with something new, Siffrin (attempts) to learn moderation with craft magics and Odile learns how exceptionally observant and adaptable Siffrin can be in passing.
