It annoys me that nill said they’re having discussions but talks have been stalled since june. Does nill know a discussion involves more than just himself? I’m honestly so pissed
Apparently they’ve been ‘talking’ (at least Nill to Seg’s agent) and the last communicate was last week. How much that was about actual money and contracts, we won’t ever know because Nill doesn’t leak anything.
The current theory is that they’re still in on a pending UFA like Erik Karlsson, which people say they are. They’ll only trade for Karlsson (or someone like him) if they have a long term contract in place for him. In that case Nill will want to make the ‘hey segs you’ve got Benn, Karlsson, Klingberg and Heiskanen behind you... take a little discount?’ argument.
Unfortunately there’s nothing to do but wait, if there wasn’t something else going on I honestly don’t think Nill wouldn’t give him however much money he wants. He’s not that stupid.
