Bag Day Congrats/Staff Event Attendance

So you’ve made it to Bag Day! It’s the stressful end of build season when you’re forced to shove your 100+lbs creation into a giant plastic bag. But congratulations! You’ve made it this far, and everyone here on the blog is proud of what you and your teams have accomplished over the last six weeks. With competitions right around the corner, we thought we should finally let you know where to find us to get official blog pins/swag, find out more about us, and offer your input for the direction this platform will take in the future. Attached is a spreadsheet with which events we’ll be attending and the reps who will be present at them. (It’s color coded because we’re dweebs.) We included brief descriptions so you can find us, but if you want to know more, feel free to contact us. Be a Gentleman day

Today is "Be a Gentleman" day. This is a day for all (men and women) to reacquaint themselves with going about their day constantly displaying “Gentlemanly” conduct. In the busy, time-poor society of today, sometimes it is a little too easy to forget the importance of courtesy, respect, consideration and, dare I say it: Chivalry. This is a day to hold the door open for the next person, give up your seat for someone who needs it more, help someone in need, let the lane changer in, let the person with two items go in front of you in the supermarket queue, hold the lift, share a taxi, look around you and make the world a better place one Gentlemanly action at a time. BaG day is also a time to recognise and celebrate those who have consistently displayed these behaviours, and to show others the quality of social interactions possible when everyone is behaving this way. Today’s Gentleman was established in October 2010 by Peter Ryan from Brisbane, Australia. For quite some time he had been getting more and more disenchanted with what he saw as bad social behaviour, particularly from men. So he thought he would create a little group on Linkedin.com to share his concerns with. When the group grew to over 200 members from over 20 countries in three weeks he knew he had hit a common nerve.
