d&d character updates

Inspired by a lovely anon, I wanted to write out what’s going on with all 3 of my OCs at the moment for record-keeping purposes (and because this shit is entertaining, you’re welcome).

Eoh (lvl 10 tiefling druid)

hatched an egg with the help of a red dragon to get a Guard Drake whom she named Myrtle <3

stormed an abbey occupied by the warlord, promptly killed the warlord, rescued the former master-turned-revenant from the dungeons, and received said abbey from said revenant

found out the abbey sits atop the ruins of a Netheril fortress supposedly housing a card from the Deck of Many Things (of which they already have two from the warlord)

went to a swamp to investigate disappearing people only to be transported to one of the nine levels of hell

Bahgtra (lvl 5 half-orc fighter)

so that dude she beheaded all those times came back as a revenant because she pissed him off so much -- which would be fucking hilarious if revenants weren’t so ridiculously strong against their targets [for those of you who don’t know, revenants vow revenge on those who wronged/killed them, come back to life every time they’re killed, etc]

the newest body of the revenant is a noble’s young daughter who had just died of disease :))))))))))) and like, young. like 8. it’s rough

a partymember pissed off one of the nastiest thieves’ guilds in her hometown and now her family has to go into hiding :))))))))

on another note, she got a shiny new silvered halberd, so that’s nice

Kallias (lvl 6 dragonborn paladin)

made a baby with a banshee’s simulacrum/clone

almost died in the Shadowfell but got some sweet plate armor fo free

also got to laugh at our bookish warlock for literally getting attacked by enchanted books

got a vision from his patron deity that the Dawn Titans are trying to come back to the material plane to fuck shit up again :)))))))

went to the beach and then promptly got attacked by a malformed kraken :’DDDDDDDDDD

pretty sure they’re all going to die

if your characters met your favourite characters from another series how would they interact?

Oh gosh, that’s a loaded question! I don’t even know which series to pick. And I have a handful of characters... uuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Well since my other OCs are from Dragon Age, I can exclude them and use my favorite DA characters. Makes my life a little easier. :p

Kallias (he probably wouldn’t initiate interaction unless necessary, so we’ll just say they’re being introduced or something)

Alistair: probably awkward; Kal isn’t really friendly and isn’t as entertained by silly humor; it’d be a lot like Alistair and Sten’s relationship; though he might be interested in Alistair’s templar status, since it resembles paladin magic

Wynne: would answer Wynne’s warm questions honestly and be confused by her interest and kindness; a polite interaction

Morrigan: neither of them are very personable, and I think they’d likely exchange cordial introductions; if Morrigan would say something snarky -- as she does -- about him, he’d very much snark back

Varric: again, he would answer Varric’s questions honestly, though the dwarf’s demeanor (good-humored, curious but not overbearing) sets him a bit at ease

Aveline: he’d appreciate another no-nonsense warrior and would look highly on her work ethic and sense of duty, though there is warmth there too, which he finds confusing

Cassandra: they would get along the best. i could see them making the *disgusted noise* in unison and having a little moment neither of them will acknowledge haha

Dorian: again with the questions but Dorian’s flamboyance catches him off-guard. he seems very intelligent, though, and if there’s one thing Kallias likes as much as someone with strength, it’s someone who can carry a sophisticated conversation. still a little uncomfortable on his end, though

Bahgtra

Alistair: they hit it off well, but that’s Bahgtra for you. she likes people and she likes his humor. thinks he’s cute and isn’t afraid to say so. and that he can hold his own in a fight is a plus

Wynne: a little put off and dampened by her grandmotherly aura but otherwise friendly; Bahgtra is impressed she’s still adventuring at her age and says that

Morrigan: friendly enough, but if either were to quip about the other, i’m pretty sure we’d hear Alistair laughing in the background at Morrigan’s expense. not the kind of retaliative snark that we’d see from Kallias, but equally as clever but funny

Varric: best friends, they are alike in a lot of ways

Aveline: she’s cool, strong, and she can roll with some mischief; likes her

Cassandra: she tough but rough around the edges, but if her likeness with Varric is any indication of how they’d get along... well

Dorian: oh, he’s funny; smart but playful and willing to get dirty and complain hilariously the entire time. she loves it

Eoh is pretty quiet, so her interactions would likely be the same with all involved. Thanks for the ask!
