experiencing a really annoying example of Observation Changes The Observed today
my nice new phone therapist person has asked me to keep a diary this week, just write down when I’m feeling anxious and what I’m thinking/details about it etc
which is a great idea! I don’t know a lot about what’s actually going on when I’m anxious so this should be really helpful
my main coping mechanism is immediately distracting myself from the anxiety and ignoring it until it goes away. which works like, seventy percent of the time.
and if I don’t do that - for example, because I gotta write down how I’m feeling and think about is - it increases MASSIVELY

gonna keep trying to do it until the end of monday, and if it’s still causing me this level of stress I’m going to stop there and just hope that three days worth of material will help
