Snorkels And Sweethearts - Bailey Hart/Rayna Jaymes
A/N: Final day for @augustwritingchallenge 's April Showers Bring M-AU Flowers.
It starts when Summer sends Bailey to enjoy a day off, keeping the kids with herself and Beau. It starts when Rayna has a massive argument with Teddy, leaving him to spend the day with the kids and get some space, figure out what the hell to do when she’s still alone. They end up side by side walking into the sea, snorkels in hand. What neither expects is what comes next. They snorkel, of course, enjoying the freedom of snorkelling, Bailey keeping pace with Rayna, surprising them both. It's easy after that, easy to enjoy the peace, enjoy bonding, enjoy walking out of the water together, even when everything had been slightly strained or just plain painful. Somehow when they had been snorkelling, it had been obvious, they were meant to find one another. It had been easy after that, Rayna invites Bailey to sing with her, celebrate with her, take a break and use some of her free time to enjoy being a singer. It had been clear after one long, enjoyable, day that they made sense together, even if Rayna hesitated to ask Bailey for more. That would come later, after Rayna arrived at Tootsies for a special, one-night-only performance, Bailey finding herself unable to refuse the invite to perform with her. It had been clear then, life was changing for them both, even if Bailey would never leave the kids.

Country comfort is like the yee haw version of the nanny with a splash of Reba and that’s probably why I love it so much.
It’s corny asf, has good music and the dad is a total dilf 😭
Summer kinda reminds me of cc and Barbra Jean and I really love her character.
Also shipping the fuck out of beau and Bailey and I hope it’s as drawn out as Max and Fran’s relationship was because I love a good slow burn with a lot of Shippy moments
