because of this she did grow up well off, spoiled & given pretty much anything she wanted. but distant from her parents. it was no surprise when they sent her off to boarding school across the ocean.

silas kingston is pretty much the sidekick to any rich villain in a nineties rom-com come to life. the one that’s just as wealthy, just as much of a douchebag, but too dumb to be the leader of the gang, and more interested in partying than playing weird mind games
due to being raised as a spoiled brat, the concept of not immediately getting whatever he wants isn’t something he’s used to. he goes through life just doing whatever will bring him the most pleasure, and consequences aren’t something he really worries about.
as the middle child, he sometimes feels like he doesn’t get quite as much attention as his older brother (the golden child) or his little sister (the baby of the family), but he’s always just used that to his advantage, taking it as an opportunity to just get away with whatever he wanted to do. he knows that there’s no pressure for him to take over his dad’s company once he retires, since chandler will be doing that for him, and he’s looking forward to continuing his life of luxury post graduation.

while their mother was very hard on them, she definitely wasn't as severe with charlie as she was with his sisters. in a way, he was a lot more spoiled.
a very pragmatic child, charlie has an opinion about everything. that’s one of the reasons why his mother doesn’t even bother anymore to argue with him, because she knows it’s pointless and just a waste of energy.
a brilliant student, charlie particularly excelled at math. however, he did have an attitude problem. he had no boundaries or respect for the authority and overall, he didn't agree with the school system and soon enough he began skipping classes.
when he wasn't at school, charlie spent most of his time at the library or at museums. of course, when he was brought to the principal's office, he didn't believe that's what he was doing. being at a catholic school, the principal believed that any student who skipped classes was a sexual deviant who did drugs.
he was almost expelled for truancy, but thankfully, his father was able to convince the principal to give him another chance. eventually, charlie graduated and didn't miss a single class during his senior year. he mostly did that because he didn't want to disappoint his father. charlie worships his father, and he's probably the only person with whom he won't argue.
after high school, charlie decided to take a gap year much to his mother's disdain and went backpacking to south america. there, he met someone and well, he fell hard for them. once his gap year ended, he decided to go to college in the us as the person he was dating with went there.
long story short, things ended (badly) between them and charlie came back to england. he enrolled in bainbridge and moved in with his sisters. he currently studies maths and philosophy because it's the perfect mix between two things he likes.
loves learning, and like everyone in his family he's also into art but he just likes to appreciate it because he's not the most creative person.
he does like going out occasionally. he likes strong drinks and the nasty habit of smoking.
