2. Favorite song?

this might come as a surprise but im the biggest if its true stan out there. this song is so much of the thematic and moral heart of the show and i just love how it builds from this quiet song into something so powerful. its also fantastic character development for orpheus no matter which version of the show you’re watching (him losing his confidence in nytw vs. him gaining it on bway). its also one of the songs that taken out of the context of the show still really means something and is still so beautiful and transcendent and i just fcking. stan if its true

13. How’d you hear of it?

i think i heard ppl on tumblr yelling about how good wait for me was back when only the nytw album was out. i listened to it and wasnt a fan bc of all the talking and without hearing the rest of the album i couldnt appreciate it. last spring i went back and relistened to the whole nytw album for no particular reason (i was bored during research) and loved it. then ofc i got into the bway version when it came out too :))

19. If you could change one thing, what would it be?

the ending unpopular opinion but i love how the show is on bway. i know ppl dont like orpheus’ character as he is now and some of the lyric changes but i really think the show works as it is. theres some smaller things from nytw that i miss—the whole “about someone who tries” lyric in the original road to hell, the distorted effect they used to have on hermes’ mic in the old wait for me, some aspects of the london costumes, and persephone having any kind of verse at all in chant ii—but at the moment i cant think of anything that is reallyyyy bugging me about the show
