So you know Bakegyamon? The obscure card game anime you've seen me yelling about?

Lasth month, I aquired a very cool item related to it! A little advertisement paper with a ton of little known trivia.

From it I've learned:

- The anime was (atleast planned to be) aired in Taiwan and Korea. That adds to Malayasia and... Singapore, I think? in the list of countries it was localized in.

- There was a monster design contest held! The winning design was a spider critter that appears in a late episode.

- There is a lost(?) mobile game. There is an entire lost(?) mobile rpg for it. Holy hell.

Do u ever just go in circles talking to yourself about that thing you like but no-one else will ever get.

Like. Goddammit I KNOW Bakegyamon has awful character designs (almost bootleggy with the main character), awful animation, looks so basic. Even storywise you could just compare it to Kazuhiro Fujutas other works or ignore the deeper subtext completely.

But what no-one ever understands is what makes it so good is the themes and motifs!!!!!! Much like Starforce 1, it just speaks to me!!! And I think good themes, good messages, executed well, combined with some decent writing, can make an anime so so special!!!!

(remembers there's a lost mobile game for Bakegyamon) I am so not going to even try solve that. It's not even remarkable enough. I could never get anyone but myself interested in a search for it, and I am NOT beginning the limbo of looking through old japanese mobile phones for it. Let alone importing items with lithium batteries. Brrr. I'm also pretty sure it required an internet connection so it'd be partially unsalvageable anyways!!!!

Ask the guys who archived Phantom of the Network and pioneered phone game emulation if any of the #endless goddamn phones they got had it #bakegyamon #also the director has been kind enough to help archive the web comics so we already have the content that like. matters.
