Everyone has already talked about the glorious scene that is ML smacking down the weasel but I want to talk about it too!
The thing that strikes me throughout this whole convo is how ex despises FL so much - he never talks about having feelings for her just her having feelings for him and refers to her not as a woman he loves but fiancee (ie a claim, not emotion.) But also - he talks about ML lusting, because that is the most he can imagine someone feeling for her, not love just physical desire. But also - when later he tells FL that DG didn't care she was with someone else before or w/e, and asks if that could be love - HELL YES IT COULD!!! It's a damn sight likelier to be love than your nastiness. Not caring about the past but just the future.
He keeps denying her plain text words and her agency. God, I hate him!
