Haven't posted any sourdough stuff in a while, but I'm trying out a new bread recipe (as you may know if you read my Doings post on my blogs yesterday). The latest iteration domed beautifully, and it's super fluffy inside, which is great. It did end up burning on the bottom, though, so I need to fix that next time. I'm currently in the process of trying to merge this new recipe with the old recipe to create the ultimate sourdough bread that gives maximum deliciousness for minimal effort. Though this new recipe is delicious, it requires babysitting for nearly five hours — not constantly, but just frequently enough that you can't get much else done in that time. We had cotija cheese and pineapple that we needed to use, so I decided to make pizza and pineapple upside down cake! This was my first time making non-sourdough pizza, and I think it turned out well! It's topped with mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, spinach, and cotija. The one my mom rolled and topped definitely looks nicer, but they both taste good. The pineapple upside down cake was also a first for me, but again, it turned out well.
