These Chai Spice Brownies combine the rich, chocolatey goodness of classic brownies with warm, aromatic spices like cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, and nutmeg, reminiscent of a comforting cup of chai.
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup unsalted butter. 1 cup granulated sugar. 2 large eggs. 1/4 cup cocoa powder. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger. 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom. 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves. 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg. 1/4 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350F 175C. Grease and flour a 9x9-inch baking pan. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, spices, baking powder, and salt. In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt butter. Stir in sugar until well combined. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract. Gradually add dry ingredients into wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool before slicing into squares.
