because of how distant bakugo is from most people, i feel like you would need to befriend him before you’d start dating
which would take a while
you originally befriended him because you thought he was interesting
bakugo is observant, and analytical
so he would be able to tell you had feelings for him
once he realized he had feelings for you, he’d need to take a few days to come to terms with it
and when he finally came to terms with his feelings,
he would observe you closer and think deeply to see if he wanted to date you
after a week of paying more attention to you,
he decided that, yes, he did want to date you
when he next saw you, he told you to meet him at a park and to dress comfy
you didn’t realize that it was a date until he brought you from the park to a planetarium
and brushed his finger with yours as a hint to hold his hand
the next date you asked him to go out
it turned into a pattern of the two of you interchanging who paid for who each date
eventually, you called him your boyfriend while on the phone with your parent/guardian in front of him, and he blushed
he asked you about it, and you apologized, thinking that maybe he didn’t want to be your boyfriend yet
he yelled at you for thinking that and called you his partner from then on
bakugo is NOT a fan of Public Displays of Affection
it’s not anyone’s business what you two do in private, and he doesn’t want others thinking things
communication is something he demands
if you’re fine with PDA and/or like it, he would talk to you about boundaries with it
like absolutely no PDA at school
you agreed with that wholeheartedly because you wanted to avoid any teasing,
but pouted until he agreed to just trying to hold hands at other places
he found he didn’t mind it as much as he thought, but was too stubborn to tell you for a while, embarrassed that he had changed his mind so quickly
so you didn’t do it much, not wanting to make him uncomfortable
he gave in after a while, and started to hold his hand out to you while walking, admitting that he liked it
your classmates didn’t know you were dating until after your internships with pro-heroes
you both didn’t particularly want to be apart after a week of not seeing each other in person,
so he picked you up and walked you to school, holding your hand and asking to hold it until you got into the classroom
you agreed without much thought, only focused on teasing him for how unthreatening his hair looked compared to his usual hairstyle
kirishima was the first to point out your linked hands.
“are you two finally together?” he had asked
everyone turned to stare, a few people laughing at Bakugo’s hair
“what do you mean, ‘finally’?” bakugo grumbled
“huh?”
“we’ve been dating for like two and half months, guys,” you told everyone slowly
“WHAT?!”
yeah, that went about as well as you had expected it to
kisses with bakugo would be either super sweet, quick kisses, or a make out session
he couldn’t get enough of you and you couldn’t get enough of him
