What is Star's relationship with Bakugo?

Not necessarily playful, but definitely something that started out as ‘friends who are maybe a little more comfortable with eachother than anyone expected’ 

They both immediately come from a place of respecting eachother, because in a quirkless/magicless slapfight they’d actually be pretty evenly matched, Bakugou just beating her out because Star’s main expertise lies in weaponry not hand-to-hand. Yet, Star would wipe the floor with him once it’s Quirk Vs Magic, so he can’t exactly see her as beneath him at the beginning.

Assuming this is a similar timeline as is the Stardeku timeline and Star was sent to Japan instead of Echo Creek to train then she’d have entered UA on the same Principle as she’d entered Echo Creek High. That being she has already decided that everyone is her friend. Including the Angry Explodey Guy. While he was still quicker to warm up to Kirishima, Star would get succeeded into the quickly blossoming Bakusquad pretty easily granted she already is kinda like if Mina and Kirishima were put into a blender.

And Star’s touchy, but she also gives warning before she gets touchy, and if Moon’s words about ‘hugs not being a Butterfly show of affection’ hold water, then she’s used to people expressing their affection in alternative ways. And Bakugou, for all his faults, does have an alternative, if still overt, way at expressing that he cares about people. 

Truthfully the visual of Bakugou angrily shoving a videogame controller into Star’s hand and telling her that they’re going to play Smash Brothers until she stops looking like a train ran her over, immediately followed by Star squealing a ‘thank you’ and shouting ‘Hugs!’ before latching onto him, despite his deep scowl, lightly exploding palms, and totally-not-enjoying-this-at-all full face flush is how I see their relationship.
