growing up as a pageant baby , she knew how to walk in heels before she could say the word ‘certificate . ’ one thing she knows how to do is act in the public eye , so as far as she’s concerned ‘how bad could the bali life get ?’ she’s really close to her sister , in fact her sister is the only person who knows that she’s bisexual . her longest relationship was long distance which worked for her since she isn’t ready to come out to her parents yet . she’s torn between having to and not having to considering she’s bisexual , she’s probably going to end up with a man anyways , right ? who knows . but thats what she tells herself before going to sleep at night.

but other than that , super healthy upbringing for the most part . she puts music above everything and has wanted to keep a clean reputation because she wants no chance of a scandal if she does ever make it . this could make her a bit devious when the time comes because she wants to keep her rep squeaky clean .

24 , has two siblings ( he’s the middle child ) , virgo baby , really smart which aids in his manipulative tendencies . his favorite color is purple , he speaks fluent english and bulgarian , drew all of his tattoos himself . 

BACKGROUND SUMMARY :

ESSENTIALLY , he’s from bulgaria and lived there until he was in his 20s . his whole goal and life purpose is to take over his fathers business . he’s only on the show in order to distract people from the current scandal thats going on with his family in bulgaria . last season he was pretty much a wreck , causing chaos wherever he went and almost got kicked off mid - season for getting into a fight . he tends to be extremely closed off and hot and cold . you learn to not be able to depend on the things he says , his only real loyalty being to his family and maybe like one friend he has . but really , it doesn’t take much for him to just use people as a means to an end . coming from a household of abuse , he’s dependent on drugs and alcohol and tries his best to come off as sane as possible even though he’s slowly deteriorating . in all , if it has nothing to do with taking over his dads company he’s only putting in 5% .

those who personally know mikayla o’day say that she’s always been this way .  .  you don’t know ? haven’t you seen the show ? well , according to her wikipedia page :

from a relatively young age , mikayla’s parents knew their daughter was practically destined for greatness . they weren’t sure why or how this goal would be achieved, but they did know that it was bound to happen . this meant enrolling their daughter in singing lessons , afterschool , tutoring , ballet , girl scouts , art , any form of academic enrichment : all coming together to provide the femme with all the necessary skills and ambition to succeed in ultimately anything . so she did . of course , not everything was glitter and rainbows since mikayla quickly learned how vicious the human race could be . often , she found herself as the butt of very harsh jokes , centered around her strong opinions and early succession in school .

the backlash was ultimately too much for her to handle so quickly , especially at a young age , experiencing a mid - life crisis a quarter too early . an opinionated scholar slowly transitioned into a shy , closeted wreck , who relied on skating by and diming her light in order to survive the treacherous jungle that was high school . her once bustling schedule was practically school and back home , as far as she was concerned , losing every bit of motivation to do anything else . . before college that is . new atmosphere and actual level - headed people seemed to spark some semblance of life back into her . being around people with ambitions and crystal clear visions of their futures forced o’day to follow suit , eventually falling in love with previously devoted activities . it wasn’t all strictly books however , it was college after all ! days were spent studying and prepping for tests . . nights usually resulted in drinking , mostly forgetting about all of it the next day . what she does remember involved a dare : apply to be on the bali life . no way they could want her .

flash forward through the green screen meetings and countless camera tests , she’s in , marked official by the casting photoshoot . everything seemed to be going s  m  o  o  t  h  l  y as far as she was concerned , having experienced the normal situations that one would . love triangles , gossip , petty house drama . in all honesty , mikayla was convinced the reunion would only briefly mention her . . until the biggest bombshell of the season dropped . all is fair within these challenges , marking up her most important loss as simply that , a bad day . . until it was revealed that two of the closest people to her teamed up in order to take her down . who knew there was actually power in numbers . following the show’s release , reliving the horror only fueled the fire to come back even stronger . the need to cater to the audience no longer lingered in the back of her mind since , come on , no one is ever truly liked in these things . to say she’s ready would serve as a complete understatement , but one thing she’s fully aware of is the need to be one hundred percent herself .

𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 :

𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 : their friendship wasn’t generally expected to take place considering the clear , crystal cut differences between them . . but mikayla can’t help but run to them in order to level herself out . definitely one of the reasons why she’s sane , or as sane as one could possibly be in that house . basically her comfort person . ( could totally be platonic )

𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 ( 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐞 ) : having stayed in the house before , one would think mikayla would have a slight advantage . the furthest from the truth . but her skills are easily matched by the other . . which excites her as much as it taunts her . will occasionally find herself doing anything in her power to distract them , whether it be flirting or low blows .

𝐟𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 : there’s power in numbers , that’s no secret , which is why mikayla and this person have established this relationship . if you wanna call it that . they’re very hot and cold with one another , seeking each other at their lowest or in order to get some advantage over another . it’s sick , but makes for amazing reality television . 

𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 : after last season , mikayla’s focus is primarily held in redeeming herself from mistakes made prior . however , it would be dumb to exclude herself from having options , especially when the thought of being back was incredibly daunting . cue them sneaking off , glances across the room , cuddles . anything to survive that house .

when it comes to being born with a silver spoon in your mouth , you’d think that means you’re set for life . with a father who‘s a succesfull film director , a man who’s been in that business for years and a mother who’s been into modeling ever since she could walk , and has now retired , living a luxurious life as a socialite , was there anything that could stop the powerhouse that was the villareal family ?

private tutors , extra classes , the villareals strived for perfection , meaning that their only child could never be something less than perfect . you could say they were control freaks , bryson was allowed to do only what his parents wanted from him , monitoring every step he made . but hey at least he had friends by his side right ? well , sort of , since both of his parents were monitoring his life so closely , it only meant that the few friends he had were personally selected by them , all coming from similar backgrounds to theirs . 

DEEPER 

although bryce was never happy with the way he was raised , he never had the chance to spread his wings and explore , he still kept quiet , all because of the sake of his trust fund . the plan was simple , wait till you’re 18 , get the trust fund money and leave , though things didn’t turn quite as expected . you see bryson wasn’t used to making decisions on his own , so once he hit the goaled age , he didn’t have the courage to finalize his plan 

and so the years passed by , one , two , three , he still stood there by his parents’ side . a  fool living a life that wasn’t destined for him . however an unhappy man is set to fail at one point , and at the age of 23 bryson finally slipped , a drunk fit followed by a speech at his family’s charity event was what drew the line between him and his parents . the embarasment on their faces , followed by anger made them cut all ties with him . 

his plan finally succeeded , not as expected , but in a way he was finally free from his parents’ control . however , once free bryce was eager to try everything he had missed on , all the parties , all the freedom , everything forbidden from his parents . the once closed of boy had turned into a reckless man , he was a bomb , that had just exploded . the more he went out , the more the trust fund money would become less , to the point , where he needed to find something to bring some income .

max was born in south korea but moved to melbourne, australia with his parents and younger sister when he was ten years old. 

his parents have run the same flower shop since they immigrated. max now runs a coffee shop on the same street so they frequent each other’s businesses all the time ( he takes them free coffee every morning ), and his younger sister works at the coffee shop too. they’re a very tight knit and close family.

recently max had been in a long term relationship and broke it off when he found out his gf of over a year had been cheating on him. his friends encouraged him to try out the show because he’d either a) have hot people to f*ck around with and help him get over his ex, b) meet someone new, or c) get famous and have honeys chasing after him once the show ends

apparently he didn’t think that was a bad idea so now here he is. plus, aussies love bali. really it was a win / win situation and he had nothing to lose.

max is very book smart but not street smart. he’s pretty gullible and easy to trust. 

big flirt. compliment machine. sometimes does know he’s flirting, sometimes he doesn’t. it’s just kind of his personality at this point.
