A Distant View of Mountain Stetind, Norway, Peder Balke, 1840s
What's the role of the Darkness in the wending way, and there's a sort of spirit or deity which embody or control it in the the Wending Way ?
The role of Darkness in the Wending Way is diverse enough and meaningful enough that I could probably write a monograph on it, so I don’t feel all that equipped to answer in a very in-depth way.
I can say however, that the Darkness is extremely holy, and in many respects, it represents the Womb of the Worlds. It is intimately associated with the Bat of Nought, Black Warden of the Bower, who serves as Cardinal of Zeroth, as well as Emissary of the Void, and overseer of the Arcanum of Excision.
