i got meatball a dimmable lamp with a CHE in it for his hot side, and i can already say i recommend it. it was super easy to get the heat adjusted with the dimmer and he’s already more active than he was with a light. i’m so much happier with this than i was with his halogen bulb that was given to me with him.
Here's Joey's setup from about a month ago. I've since added a plant and replaced the log hide with an ugly cardboard box (which Joey of course loves) because the log got moldy. He will move off of paper towel when he finishes quarantine. He will also move to a larger enclosure, either a 40-55gal aquarium or a Christmas tree bin, once he grows longer than this 20gal long tank. He has 2 hides a large water dish, a branch for climbing and plants for cover and climbing, I can promise you that all of this is well used.
Listen I’m pretty proud of Bumb’s new enclosure
But thank God snakes don’t care for aesthetics ‘cause those boxes make for great hides 👌🏻
PVC Cage Setup for Ball Pythons?
So I got an Animal Plastics cage for my ball python and I’m very excited about it. I know the basics of setting one up but was wondering if anyone has a link to guides / tips for setups in PVC cages? Bonus if it has info about heat tape and thermostats :)
Thanks y’all!
