So, this book is a collection of color photographs of the Scottish factory workers at Ballantyne Cashmere in Scotland. The photographer, Esko Männikkö, is a genius at photographing place and people -- not leisure places, not celebrity people -- but rural working people and the places they live and work. This hardcover book was commissioned by Ballantyne Cashmere and then printed in 2003.

redecorating my wall: dark academia

so after seeing a cool post by @sonicisgodorhecouldkillgod called ‘How to make a wall like the one in Kill in Your Darlings’ i decided to redocorate a section of my wall. i had a bunch of old books that my library gave away a few years ago and i (don’t persecute me) ripped out some of the pages, i also had a dictionary from the 1970’s that was already falling into so many pieces so i collected some of those pages, did some highlighting, arranged them on my wall, and here is the finished result!

some of the dictionary words i highlighted were: literature, myth, ethereal, history, guilt, secrecy, darling and absurd

i’m really happy with how it turned out. i also found a book about greek mythology i forgot i owned which my school library also gave away, i did Not rip it up because now i’m going to read it because it has So Many of the greek myths and the old pages makes me feel like an academic.
