Just realized I never posted my best 12 dancing princesses drawing! I drew this almost a year ago now and it was the gateway to my executive functions allowing me to draw any of the 12 dancing princesses. Before then, I could only trace them without feeling overwhelmed. 12 princesses is. so. Many.
Breakdown: I wanted their flowers to be more represented in their design so I took the obvious route of making her skirt a rose and I think the effect is great. It is super hard to find 1830s ballerinas but from what I found, the front of her dress was pretty good so I kept that and added a wider neckline is true 1830s fasion.
The background was from memory but I think she's probably standing in the courtyard by the tree facing the castle. I know no one cares abt that but I do so I'm mentioning it in case anyone is wondering.
Honestly, I think Genevieve is my favorite character, which should be less surprising than it is.
This must be weird... VERY WEIRD, but I need someone to help me with the structure of this pose. I almost have the torso, but that leg... I HATE THAT LEG, so... My sister is a dancer and she says that the leg you see there must be hyperextended, Not much, it's almost controlled or conscious hyperextension
And here are some examples of the type of hyperextension I'm talking about.
It must be VERY strange, but if anyone can understand the pose and explain it to me or do a study, I would be very grateful!
Ok so I did a ballet Ahsoka, a traditional wear Ahsoka and then I tried doing a human Ahsoka. I decided to make her indigenous and put her in a jingle dress regalia! :)
Ayo the leg for the ballet one is bothering me. Iz like it needs to be more higher maybe? Idk. Tis why these are sketches.
For me, Korrasami remains the most important canon relationship, coming onto television as I was coming to know my own identity and sexuality. I am forever grateful for their story and will continuously come back to their figures in my artistic endeavors. #korrasami #thankyou
