U21 County Premier Championship Quarter Final

Ballybrown 0-25 Killmallock 0-14

This is a sign that Ballybrown are really hitting form.Even with Paul Reidy missing out through injury Ballybrown had a very convincing win with the forwards firing on all cylinders and Bryan Griffin on form with his frees Ballybrown never looked like losing the game. Killmallock kept in touch during the first half however when Ballybrown began to pull awayand even though Killmallock tried their hardest the Ballybrown backs stayed solid and held Killmallock at bay right to the final whistle. Ballybrown now go on to play parish rivals Patrickswell in the semi final in what will undoubtedly be an exciting game to watch.

Ballybrown 3-12 Deel Rangers 1-08

Good convincing final group game from Ballybrown as they final showed a clinical touch putting over most frees, unlike previous performances. Great accuracy from Bryan Griffin on frees was very important to Ballybrown who will hope he can keep up this form into the 1/4 finals. The game was very physical with numerous yellow cards being shown to players on both teams who were clearly looking to win the game to clinch 2nd place in the group.

In truth this was a very flattering scoreline towards St. Kevins. Ballybrown again proving to be very wasteful from frees, this game not scoring a single one all game. Ballybrown did dominate possession throughout the game but Kevins kept within touching distance due to Tom Ryan’s free taking. Ballybrown did just enough to hold on for the win, but need to do improve there scoring ability if they want to make it further in this Championship.

A good result for Adare, after a last minute Declan Hannon free.The result now leaves Ballybrown with 3 points from three game. Good performances from David Hall, Adrian Roberts and Killian Gavin were part of the minor good performance for Ballybrown. Good shows from John Fitzgibon and Eric Neville meant that Adare kept in touching distance. Ballybrown were let down by there poor conversion rate yet again after hitting numerous wides.
