claude in cindered shadows is so funny because the first thing he does after the first battle is go “haha no i’m not the heir to house riegan or the future sovereign duke of the alliance” and “yeah claude’s a really popular fake name actually” like could this guy be less obvious

not to mention who’s around him because we have:

- hilda who’s besties with him and is kinda the only person besides lorenz that thinks it’s weird how secretive claude is

- edelgard who would totally use this against him somehow because it’s edelgard

- yuri who is basically the mafia boss version of claude

- balthus who is the only person to actually figure out the claude is almyran all on his own and the only person who has support conversations about it while also being portrayed as a dumb character a lot

- and linhardt. you know the guy who casually figures out half the lore in the game on his own and cohld easily figure out the rest of he wanted to. he’s probably the smartest character in this game. yeah good luck claude you’re lucky he never actually talks to you because he’d figure you out in like one conversation. he’d probably randomly walk up to claude one day, say something to get claude to admit he’s almyran, go “oh i was right” and leave.

the funniest part is that nobody comments on what claude says they literally just go with it. i love these guys.
