I really didn’t know what to draw despite being in an art mood.  So.  I somehow found myself doing an edit with palakitty Pidge.

While on Balto, Adam would be worried about Shiro and also be homesick. But then he’s reminded how welcome he is on the alien planet of short cat people when Pidge interrupts his reading and just lays on his lap. She’s much like an Earth cat. Anyway! I wanted to draw for the palakitty AU and I like the interactions Pidge could have with Adam after he crashes on her planet. He’d be very welcomed and adored. And in typical fashion, if she fits, she sits. Now it’s nap time on Adam’s lap.

I had started this a couple of days and wanted to get it done. About Palakitty Pidge, a bit of her people, and even her planet! And yes, it’s called Balto, reference to DotU and I think Voltron Force, but rather than being from a technologically advanced or ninja filled planet, it’s a small, Earth-like planet of tiny cat people.  Anyway, this was fun to work on, especially the notes given by different characters. I especially had Coran’s voice in my head during this. At some spots, I admit I actually forgot what I was originally going to write. Oops. Also! It was tricky coming up with different appearances, but it was so fun drawing the different Baltoans. So many cuties! And so small! 

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed this piece. I don’t know if the palakitty au will be written or not, but for now, this was fun and worth it.  Well! Until next time!

I’ve had the idea for a while. Baltoans, like Earthlings, play chess! We learn in the comics that there’s a great sphynx that taught the game of chess to other races, Earthlings included. So, I like to think that Baltoans have learned, too. Pidge probably enjoys the game and it helps to make Adam feel at home. Though I get the feeling he struggles to beat her.

It was suggested to have Lance hold Pidge up like long cat. Well, my brain instantly went to what many cat parents have done. Hold up the cat singing “Circle of life”. And poor Pidge, she’s very confused. Lance, be careful; she may scratch you after this.
