The music booms across the dance floor, and your body moves to the beat. People fill the dance floor, but you barely notice them. You came out to let loose and dance. Your friends started the night dancing with you but soon migrated to tables to drink and rest their aching feet. Your feet didn’t bother you. Closing your eyes, you bounce along to the music.
A tap on your shoulder breaks your concentration. A guy is standing next to you. He has pale blond hair and stunning blue eyes which you can tell are contacts, but you don’t mind. He’s hot. He smiles and motions between you, clearly asking you to dance. You nod, and he wraps his arms around your waist. He moves in perfect time with the music, and you move with him. Your bodies becoming one on the dance floor.
The song switches, and your caught off guard as your body tries to adjust to the new beat. The strong hands on your waist easily guide into the rhythm of the new song. As the song comes to an end, the guy leans towards you. “Let’s go up.” He says. You meet his eyes, your face awash in confusion. He smiles and motions to the balcony that overlooks the dance floor. You nod, and he grabs your hand and leads you off the dance floor.
After getting a drink from the upstairs bar, you head over to the balcony with your dance partner. You watch the people dance below as you continue to sway to the music. “I’ve never seen you here before.” Your partner says. His voice is velvet smooth.
“Never?” You quirk an eyebrow.
“Never ever.” He smirks back at you. You find that hard to believe you come nearly every weekend to dance, but you just shrug your shoulders.
“That’s a shame.” You say as you finish off your drink. “Hopefully, you’ll see me next time.” You give him a sly smile and start to head off but stop. You walk back and lean close placing an innocent kiss on his cheek. You pull back and give him a not so innocent look before turning around and continuing on your way, certain you’ll see him next time.
