“Uncle Kurt?”
“Kurt! So good to see you!”
[Loudly humming the Peter Gunn theme from Blues Brothers.]
.:I Appear Missing:.
{ bamfsback }
Maybe it was born from a need to resolve the situation at hand. She didn't have a clear plan, not necessarily, but she had an idea of what needed to be done. There felt like there was a finality to it, and maybe there was. Either she stopped this thing or this thing stopped her, became her, erased her and stood where a girl once was. It was something she couldn't risk. And while there was no sound plan so far, she knew what she needed... at least so far.
The only problem was obtaining it without suspicion, let along without hurting herself. It would require some delicate handling. She was anything but delicate these days, until she was faced with her own realities, that is.
She paused before knocking on his door. It was a bit late.
"Hey, Kurt... you got a minute?"
Snack Trap
Hey Kurt.
On a scale of one to Sarah Connor, how much do ya'll think Jubilee would mind if Ah gave Shogo a marshmallow?
Hey, hey Kurt!
Back to Basics
Of all the rotten luck.
Tch, 'luck'. More like karma. Rogue stares down at her gloved hands. No more being covered by choice. Back to checking sleeves for tears, and hunting for loose threads after pulling stuff out of the dryer. Back to turning down trips to the beach, and back to the mall; her closet is going to need a mad revert. At least she knows the drill, right?
Rogue groans, her head making a loud smack sound as she falls forward over the table. She deserves this. The Professor warned her--he warned her!--that if she wasn't careful, her control would shatter. She hasn't been careful at all. Just careless, reckless, and dumb.
She can't pretend to be too shocked. Rogue knew deep down that things weren't right, and it wasn't just her fear of change. Her 'control' never stays, and it always alters her powers into something they've never been. It's never felt right, not really, and Rogue is finally beginning to accept that that's because there's no 'control' to have. Like Kurt or Dr McCoy, her skin is part of her mutation, and there's nothing to be done about it.
"This still sucks," she grumbles, lifting her head when she hears someone in the teacher's kitchen. Rogue rests her chin on the table. "Ah'm home!" she calls to whomever it is. She's not usually here during the week anymore, so she makes her presence known so as not to freak out the faculty.
"You got into a fight, didn’t you."
"With the blunt end of a Danger Room, yes." Hank winced, touching at his face, realising that the various bruises and cuts across his face no doubt looked worse than they actually were.
"Remind me again why I haven't retired, Kurt?"
