it’s awkward when she looks at him in a peculiar but particular way, every few weeks or so, and he has to clear his throat of any of his usual barbs because it is that bad and he skedaddles out of the boarding house and into the nearest convenience store to pretend to read all the ‘94 headlines.
lately, it’s been every few days. he ducks his head whenever he walks out the door, but bonnie always sends him a grateful smile and just a hint of something else whenever he makes sure to come back, hours later.
just to be safe.
just to be. respectful.
hells yeah.
even more lately though, it’s been getting worse. like, he gets the stress of possibly never ever finding a way back to present day mystic falls and having to wear plaid the rest of their damned ever, but he can’t even flip a pancake now without her sending him that meaningful look, come on.
one day, he crashes down from the attic and brandishes it in the air: mufflers. “i can stay, bonnie! guess what! i will not be bothered by your womanly wiles as you give yourself the touch of heady love–”
“masturbate, damon. you can say that, can’t you?”
“mas- of course i can say that. bonnie. i practically invented the word. mast–” damon chuckles, hard. “anyway. yeah. i’ve got ear protection. you’ll feel better knowing i’ll be locking myself up in the cellar too, for your, uh, added privacy and fun.”
he doesn’t wait to be dismissed before fucking off.
when he reemerges from the dust and grime of the cellar, bonnie’s sipping red wine by the fire.
the look on her face suggests that he has been played. bad.
“you know, it did start out as me blowing off steam, but then, when i saw how easy it was, i just… did it for fun. quiet evenings. glass of wine. house to myself. you get that, right?”
bonnie bennett.
having bested him, scrunches her nose.
at him.
he snaps the muffler in half. “screw the muffler. i’m going to make sure you never get to come. i’ll be your worst,” his face contorts, “masturbating nightmare.”
“out of context, this would be a very questionable conversation,” she tells him, handing him her nearly-finished glass along the way. “night, damon.”
damon waits until she leaves to down the rest of her wine in one gulp.
He walks into the cabin to be greeted with silence, the couple decided to take the party elsewhere probably. So he pours himself another drink and gulps it down before pouring another one. And his lips are soon shaped into the same pout that he’s been used to lately. But again, his life isn’t that spectacular right now.
He has a brother who hates him, a hunter who had left him pile of names to kill, literally. And a friend who doesn’t just hate him, but is also dying.
It couldn’t be better.
He’s about to reach the couch when he hears it, muffled voice that could’ve gone unnoticed if he wasn’t a vampire. And so he listens again, this time with more effort and he follows the sound to find himself standing in front of the bathroom. And he almost pushes the door open but then he hears another sound, more clear, more broken.
And suddenly there are images floating in his mind, of tears and red eyes. Of his best friend looking at her reflection and breaking down. He swallows, looks away and he doesn’t notice but his heartbeats go a bit unsteady. How did it always end up being her, the one who is dying and not just dying but in pain. How many times has she gone through this? The same cycle of fear and being lost. All alone.
And then the door is open, and here she is, his little witch staring up at him.
“Can I help you?” She lifts an eyebrows, back to hating him with confidence and sass as if she wasn’t crying four seconds ago.
And this moment should be written in history, because Damon Salvatore can’t find any word to say. He’s been in such situations before to be honest, most of them with the same witch but that doesn’t mean a thing.
“Uh…” He blinks, swallows again and keeps looking at her. But even the privilege of looking at her isn’t offered anymore, so she walks past him like he is not even there.
“Hey.” He finally speaks, and she turns around with inpatient written on her face.
Yet, they just stare for few seconds.
“You’ll be fine.” He nods to both of them, and there’s smile on his lips, warm and honest and desperate to make her believe him.
She stays quiet for a moment, clearly taken back.
“I am fine.” She says.
“Yeah, that’s why you were crying in there.” He scuffs, and okay he shouldn’t have said that. But he’s Damon Salvatore, genius at saying the wrong things in the wrong times.
“I mean-”
“I wasn’t crying.” She shrugs.
“DON’T PRetend with me!!” He almost shouts it, but he handles it well. He doesn’t mean to be pain in the ass, but he is not enjoying her act either. And she’s literally dying, talk about emergencies.
And again she’s staring at him, And he wonders if he messed up again, if he is just making her angrier at him, if that’s even possible. But then she’s pursing her lips in that way, and her eyes shine a little bit.
“You shouldn’t have left.”
When he comes back to earth and understands what she just said, it’s too late. She is already closing the door to her room and he is left alone with that sentence.
Would it be different? Obviously, duh! But god, how beautifully different it would’ve been.
A/N: Lately I don’t feel like writing at all, thanks to exams and real life but not everyday is @iammikaya birthday! Happy birthday Eva and I hope you have a lovely day and a lovely year just like you! And I hope you enjoy this, it’s not much but still! ^___^
A/N 2: This is another piece where all my OTPs come alive, this is (surprisingly) pure fluff. In a world where everything is good and everyone is happy!
The smell filing the kitchen was utterly magical, it was beautiful and filling her scenes, along with the low music running, and the candles lighting the place. Christmas spirit was on its best.
She looked around to see Stefan finishing some plate, swaying his shoulders slightly as he focused on his mission. She turned around to focus on her own, or at least try to.
"Stefan." She said without turning around. "Can you get me that plate next to you?"
In a second she heard the sound of the plate being placed next to her, before placing a kiss on her cheek from behind. She titled her head and her smile grew bigger. Her hands moving to cover his own, which were laying on her belly.
"Did I tell you that you look beautiful tonight?" She could hear the smile in his words while resting his chin on her shoulder.
"Three times." She said with a smile.
"Mhm." He hummed while forcing her body to sway with the music as he did. "Well, I'm sure I didn't tell you that you look adorable."
"No, you didn't." She chuckled.
His lips moved down her jaw, and just when he got near her neck she shifted in her place.
"No, no we still have a lot to finish, Stefan."
"We just have to put the food in the plates." He whined.
"Nice one." She rolled her eyes.
"Where's Damon?" He asked while looking around, surprised that he hadn't interrupted them yet.
"He went to get Bonnie." She said as she knelt down to open the oven, which was kind of hard with her big stomach.
"Mhm."
She turned around then, holding the spoon and narrowing her eyes as she stared at him.
"What?" He asked after noticing how she went silent for no reason.
"You just said 'mhm'."
"… And?"
"You always mhm when you know something."
"Who put that rule?" He asked with furrowed eyebrows.
She only narrowed her eyes even more and pointed the spoon at him to talk. It was enough for him to do talk.
"I was just thinking that they… spend lots of time together lately, that's all." He shrugged, trying and failing to make it seem causal.
"Oh my god, Stefan." She jumped slightly with wide eyes in excitement. "It feels good to know I'm not alone, why didn't you tell me? No wait… you can notice these things too?"
He was about to answer her question but then it hit him how insulting it was. He paused with his mouth open.
"You didn't know I notice these things?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Well you know, you kinda have a thing for not realizing things." She smirked before turning back to the oven.
"I'm sorry, you're the one who said without realizing it, your spell not mine." He shrugged and leant back on the table. And she hid her smile but she knew he knew she was smiling.
"You're in a good mood today." She mumbled.
"Well, it's Christmas, I got my house back, I have my girlfriend next to me, my brother and my friend are coming to have dinner with us. It would be a crime to be in a bad mood today."
She raised her eyebrows without looking at him, trying to get used to Stefan Salvatore being optimist and dropping his broody eyebrows.
He walked to her and she turned around immediately, taking a defense position before the attack.
"No, Stefan, no." She said, trying to sound firm. But his hands were already cupping her checks and his lips- after pulling into a grin, were softly on hers. Their grins were ruining the kiss but it still felt amazing.
"Not everything is about you, Damon."
They heard Bonnie's voice coming closer to the kitchen and they pulled away, hands still on each other before Stefan ignored it and pressed his lips into hers again.
"Stefan." She mumbles against his lips, trying to protest but failing to.
"I've no idea what you're talking about."
They heard Damon, this time really close to the kitchen, which finally made Stefan pull away with a groan.
Once Bonnie stepped into the kitchen, her vision went blank. And for a second she felt like panicking but then she realized that the reason she couldn't see were two hands covering her eyes. Damon's hands to specific.
"Damon?" She asked, her hands reaching for his in instant.
"Aha?"
"What are you doing?"
"Just in case things aren't PG-13." He mumbled, while Stefan and Caroline rolled their eyes in sync.
"I'm sure they are by now?" Bonnie said slowly, amazed by how childish he can go.
"I guess."
"So? Can I see again please?"
"Uh, yeah sure, yeah." He mumbled awkwardly while pulling his hands away.
"I got your back." He winked at both Stefan and Caroline and they just stared at him.
"Grow up." Matt said while walking past him to his seat. He wouldn't acknowledge it, but he looked quite hot in that uniform and with that cologne. He should've been out looking for some pretty girl to hang out with but here he was.
"Merry Christmas." Bonnie said, throwing her hands over Caroline's shoulders and pulling her into a warm hug.
"Merry Christmas." Caroline said as he hugged her back with closed eyes.
"Where's Ric?" Damon said, looking back at the door.
"Leaving the presents under the tree." Matt said.
"Merry Christmas, Matt." Caroline said while standing next to Bonnie.
"Merry Christmas, Care." He smiled. "How are you?" He asked, looking at her stomach.
"Great, perfect, everything is going normal." She said, her hand coming up to her back to stand more comfortable.
"Come on let's put the food." Bonnie smiled, her hand brushing her back before looking at Stefan to help her. The two of them moved to get the plates into the table before Caroline helped them.
Minutes later, Alaric has already taken a seat near the table. Bonnie put the last plate before swinging her legs into the seat and sitting between Matt and Damon.
"Okay, let's start." Stefan said after helping Caroline to sit down.
"Hold on, someone is still missing." Caroline said, sharing a look with Bonnie.
"Who?" Stefan interrupted their looks.
"Me." Enzo said with a smirk as he entered the kitchen.
"What's he doing here?" Stefan looked at Caroline in confusion.
"We invited him." Caroline said with a smile, trying to make it better.
"They guy who kidnapped you?"
"Also, the guy who's on our side now." She titled her head.
"Come on, Stefan. It's Christmas." Bonnie said with a smile, before looking at Enzo and smiling even more.
Stefan glanced at both of them, sharing a sweet –yet annoying look. He then looked at Damon, who was chewing his cheeks from the inside without looking up.
"Sit down." Bonnie offered with a smile, then Enzo moved behind Alaric and sat next to Damon, offering him a smirk which Damon returned with a fake smile.
"Okay, let's start." Stefan said again.
"No, no no wait." Caroline interrupted, kneeling down to grab some bag from underneath the table. "Not before everyone wears their hats."
"Oh boy." Alaric muttered before leaning back in his chair.
"You've got to be kidding me." Damon said, not bothering to lower his voice. Caroline put the first one on Stefan's head, trying not to ruin his perfect hair. He closed his eyes, scared of how he would look like, but he let her do it.
"You look awesome." She giggled.
"Yeah, Steffy. You look awesome." Damon wiggled his eyebrows. By then Bonnie had already put hers on, looking completely adorable with it. And then she was busy helping Matt to put his own.
"Come on, Bon." He chuckled, shaking his head.
"Don't move, it'll look great. Trust me." She smiled.
"Merry Christmas, officer Santa." Damon raised his empty glass in a toast.
Stefan passed one of them to Alaric, but he shook his head slightly without taking it. Then he received a glare from Caroline, which seemed more like a killing threat, so he put the damn thing on and sighed.
"Enzo, Damon." Caroline said, passing them the hats across the table.
"In your dreams, blondie." Damon said.
"Come on, Damon, don't be grumpy old man." Bonnie said, holding the two hats in her hands.
"Even Stefan is wearing it." Matt commented with a smirk.
"Funny." Stefan said when Caroline chuckled.
Damon looked at the hand grabbing the hat from Bonnie and watched as Enzo put it on, having the same smirk all the while, his eyes holding her gaze bravely.
Damon wanted to throw up, right there and right then.
Bonnie cleared her throat as she broke the eye contact, looking down at the remaining hat in her hand before looking up at Damon with narrowed eyes.
"Okay." She said as she put it on his head. For her surprise he didn't protest, just sat there with his elbows on the table and watched her as she tried to put it right.
She ignored his stare, and the forks noise around them as their friends started to eat. She was using both her hands, one to hold the hat and the other to fix his hair under it. She could feel his stare, looking at her eyes while she focused on her mission. She did want to steal a look and see how his eyes were, but something was stopping her.
She did steal a look after all, which made her swallow and smile before looking down at her plate and taking her fork.
Caroline held the big spoon and started putting food into Stefan's plate. They both were smiling, but then he noticed that her stare was on something else. He followed her gaze to see it landing on Alaric's feet which were on the table.
He pressed his lips and widened his eyes at Alaric, which made him put it down immediately and sits straighter.
Bonnie was holding another plate, putting some of it on Matt's plate then turned around to do the same thing to Damon.
"I'll have some of that, love." Enzo said, holding his plate. But then someone snatched it from him and that someone happened to be Stefan.
"Let me do it." He said with a cold smile as he started filling his plate, never breaking the eye contact. Caroline was putting some meat into Matt's plate while she looked at the intense stares exchanged between them. She pressed her lips and looked away.
After few more minutes of Bonnie and Caroline filling Matt's plate with all the kinds of food, and Alaric trying to take sips from his bourbon without Caroline catching him, and Damon staring at Bonnie with no one noticing –but her, and few intense stares between Stefan and Enzo, everyone was finally ready to eat.
"You did all of this. Caroline?" Matt looked at her with a smile.
"Well, Stefan helped." She titled her head. "But I did most of the work." She flipped her hair in a dramatic way, which made Stefan lean closer and kiss her cheek. Damon hands were going up to Bonnie's eyes again but she stopped him with her hands and shot them away.
"NOT AGAIN." She said through gritted teeth.
"What?" He seemed offended. "I just know that lovers can get a bit cozy, sorry for trying to skip it for you." He shrugged. While everyone chuckled.
"I miss Elena." Bonnie muttered, mostly to herself. Then everyone went silent.
"I miss mom." Caroline said after few moments. She felt Stefan's hand on her, intertwining their fingers and brushing the back of her hand. She looked up at him and returned his smile.
"I miss Jo."
Everyone turned around to look at Alaric after he breathed out those three words. His eyes were on the plate while he played with his food mindlessly.
After seconds of awkward silence Enzo finally spoke. "That was bleak." He said.
Stefan looked at him with annoyance.
"No, Enzo is right." Caroline said, sitting straighter. "It's Christmas, and… we might be missing lots of things this year, but… we still have something to care about. We still have each other, we still have this." She looked around them before looking back at Stefan and smiling. He pressed his lips and smiled back.
"There're things that deserve fighting for." She said while staring at him. And he nodded after a moment.
"Not every year you get to see Damon wearing Santa hat." Matt said.
Bonnie chuckled and looked at Damon, taking a breath and smiling at him. He was looking at Stefan and Caroline –their hands to be specific, before he looked back at her, and smiled till wrinkles appeared around his eyes. His eyes looked down to their hands close to each other on the table before looking back at her. She licked her lips and looked away quickly, grabbing her glass.
"To this." She said as she lifted her glass.
"To this." Everyone said as they clicked their glasses together. Before Stefan pulled Caroline and kissed her with no care in the world, ignoring everyone around them and drowning in the feeling of having her.
Everyone laughed, while Damon and Bonnie stole a look at each other before looking away.
A/N: A drabble that I've written week ago or so, where ALL my OTPs can breathe!
… …
The music was oddly nice; she took another sip of her drink as she looked around the place that is starting to feel like home in a strange way. It was good to see people around her, it was good to know that other people were having normal lives and going to the grill to just spend the day. No heretics to fight, no spells to figure out, nothing to worry about.
It was good to join them for one day.
"It's weird, isn't it?"
She turns around to Matt refilling her glass.
"How they know nothing about the madness we're going through." He smiles.
She smiles back at those blue eyes that suddenly take her back to her childhood.
"Yeah well today, I know nothing about it either." She shoots him a proud smile before swallowing her glass in one gulp.
"Huh?" He raises his eyebrows in amusement.
"You might think that day-drinking is a bad sign, but you're wrong." She raises her eyebrows and leans forward. And he does the same. "I'm waiting for my ride." She whispers as if it was a secret.
"What ride?" He whispers back, not sure if she's sober anymore.
"I'm going on a road trip." She hits her fists on the table and goes back that she almost fall off the stool.
"You are?"
"Yup." She gets off the stool and takes her bag. "I'll be outside, waiting for my partner." She winks at him before leaving and he stands still.
She walks three steps outside and stops to get her phone.
"Waiting for me?"
She looks around to find Enzo leaning on the wall before walking to her with his typical smirk.
She tries to hold her grin but it's a huge failure.
"What are you doing here? Don't you have a family to serve?" She titles her head.
"Not anymore, they gotta find another one." He takes another step.
"Ooh, what's changed?" She teases.
"Nothing much, I just figured I deserved better." He smiles.
She smiles back before biting her lip.
"I heard you were going on a road trip." He says. "Figured no one would be better than me."
"Oh really?"
"You have no idea how much fun I can be." His British accent rings in her ears.
She is about to shoot back before they hear the voice of a car pulling right next to her.
"Your ride is here Bon Bon." Damon says with a wide smirk, taking off the sunglasses and wiggling his eyebrows.
She turns around and rolls her eyes with a grin.
"He is your ride?" Enzo says with much confusion.
"Who else would it be?" Damon shrugs as he gets out of the car and leans against it.
She doesn't answer, only narrows her eyes and purses her lips with a title of her head.
"What?" Damon asks in confusion, especially when Enzo smiles in victory. "What?" He repeats. "Of course it's me, it has to be me, who else would it be?"
"I'm ready Bon."
They all turn around to see Matt Donovan walking out of the grill.
"I'm sorry?" Both Damon and Enzo say in utter confusion.
"Matt?" Bonnie tries to hold in her chuckle.
"I'm your partner." Matt titles his head, his blue eyes shining with victory and much happiness.
"Um, as if." Damon scoffs.
"Bon?" Matt asks , feeling lost.
Bonnie stands in the middle of the triangle, looking at the three men around her. She suddenly feels amused with the sight.
"So the three of you are offering their company! How can I choose?" She raises her eyebrows as she spins slowly in her place to watch their hopeless faces.
Just when the three men look at each other with baffled look, they hear the sound of a car pulling over next to them. And it's not any other car but the red Porsche with Stefan Salvatore and his glasses.
"Hey, Bonnie." He raises his eyebrows at her.
"Hey, Stefan." She smiles.
"You ready?" He isn't even trying to hide his smirk.
"Yup." She says as she grabs her back bag from the ground.
"You?" Damon says with disbelief, eyes narrowing and finger pointed at his brother's direction.
Stefan only presses his lips into thin smile.
"You've got to be kidding me." Enzo mutters as he looks around him.
And Matt, well Matt only chuckles in utter confusion.
"What's going on here?" Caroline asks while practically covering Stefan's body with her own in attempt to reach his window. "Hey, Bon." She adds.
"Hey, Care."
Bonnie takes a moment to watch their faces, how confuse and hopeless they seem.
"Stefan and Caroline are going on a trip and they invited me." She shrugs.
"I'm sorry?" Damon blinks several times.
"Why is that a problem?" Caroline asks, but no one answers, they just glance at each other. "Why is that a problem?" She looks to Stefan with their faces too close.
Stefan opens his mouth to explain but his smile stops him from saying a word. "Just wait." He whispers.
"What?" She whispers back but Damon interrupts their short connection.
"No, no, no, no, you're supposed to take her away not them." Damon walks closer to the car.
Bonnie and Stefan share a look before she shrugs and walks to the door.
"I'll see you guys soon." She says as she puts her bag into the car.
"What? No." Damon looks around him, looking for support from his previous enemies but they're doing nothing but watching. "Bonnie Bennett, you can't get off my train, if you get off my train you can never come back."
"Sure I can." She gives him a big wide smile while holding her door.
"God knows she needs to get off that train." Caroline mumbles but she gets a glare from Damon anyway.
"I think we'll see you guys soon." Stefan says, licking his lips and putting his glasses on again.
"You'll regret this, brother." Damon says with a frown.
"Oooh, war it is." Stefan mocks him before starting the car. "See ya, brother." He says before driving.
Damon, Enzo and Matt stand still in their place as they watch the car going far away from their reach.
"I don't know about you," Damon says with a frown and furrowed eyebrows, eyes still where the car had left. "But I'm following that Car."
He looks at them then, Matt and Enzo look at each other before walking to Damon's car. The three gets into the car. Enzo takes the back seat to himself with his arm spread wide on the chair.
"This is gonna be fun." Enzo says.
"Oh, it will be a lot of things, but fun won't be one of them." Damon says with his eyes fixed on the road as he starts the engine. "He will regret it."
"Oh boy." Matt mumbles before they get on the road.
Bamon. . . I’m drunk and crying so you gave me some flowers and sat with me on the grass in the park and asked if I needed a place to stay at 2am.
Strangers in the night|| Bamon drabble||
She’s been walking fora while, a very long while. She finds herself in some park. The place isterrifyingly quiet, but what did she expect at two after midnight. She probablyshould leave and go home, but right now she couldn’t care less.
That pain in herstomach, the way her eyes hurt after crying for hours and the way her legscan’t help her any more make her too tired to think clearly. And she also maybe drunk. Therefor the best thing to do is to sit on the pavement. Her arms hugher knees close to her chest as she stares into nothing.
She suddenly feels ashiver going through her and she suddenly realizes that it’s actually cold, butagain she couldn’t care less.
She takes a deep breathand closes her eyes as another tear rolls down her cheek.
“You know? It’s notwise to sit alone in such a late hour.”
She looks around to seesome guy sitting on the bench near her; he doesn’t seem like a bad guy, or agood guy to be honest. But at least he doesn’t look like a serial killer.
Although the place isalmost dark she can see his blue eyes shining.
“Says the guy who’ssitting in the same place at the same late hour.” She says before looking away. She rubs her shoulders in attempt to warm herself a bit.
After few seconds shesuddenly feels a leather jacket on her shoulder, and a hand patting it so itdoesn’t fall. She looks up and sees him offering a smile, and it makes her feelas if they know each other, as if he’s trying to actually comfort her.
He doesn’t look away ashe sits down next to her, his legs stretching in front of them. There’s a voicein her mind telling her to leave, to just stand up and walk away. But she feelslike something is pulling her to the ground, to stay a little longer.
“Bad day?” He asks withthe same smile.
“More like bad week, month, year, maybe life.” She says, hervoice making her look drunk more than she actually is.
“Whoa whoa.” Hechuckles as he puts his hands up in defense.
“It can’t be that bad.”He says.
“Trust me, it can.” Shesays as she looks down, pursing her lips to hold the tears. Why is she being soemotional? It’s not even funny.
He opens his mouth tosay something but nothing comes out. He just looks at her while she looks away.He doesn’t even know her but he’s already angry, why would anyone hurt thatgirl. She seems so kind, innocent, pure and beautiful.
He finds himselfwishing to be her friend so he can help her, he’s willing to do anything rightnow but she wouldn’t let him, he can tell.
“Well, take it fromsomeone who knows, things get better.” He says and then she’s looking at him.“There’re times when you’ll feel like it’s the end, like nothing is worth itanymore. But after a while, you’ll feel better and all those things that usedto hurt will be just a memory.”
She is actuallysurprised by the serious look on his face; he’s not smiling nor joking. Hisvoice is deep and really serious.
“I mean who knows?Maybe five years from now, you’ll be sitting in your home, happy, and then youlook back at this moment and you’ll laugh about how silly those things were.”And he’s back to chuckling again.
“Maybe you’ll laugh atthat stranger who gave you advice.” He says, rolling his eyes and settling ona smirk.
She finds herselfstaring for a moment, her lips pulling into a smile at that stranger who’sbeing too kind. Then he reaches back to the grove of flowers behind them. Shecan’t help it but chuckle.
He holds the flowerwith a smirk as he puts it behind her ear. And then she’s laughing like a kid.
“See? I told you it’ll get better.” He says as hewatches her face. Her laughter is even better with her red nose and wet cheek.
“So, are you like somekind of a fairy that shows up to help people?” She smirks at him while she readjusts the jacket on her shoulder so itdoesn’t fall.
“Why? Are you someDisney princess?” He narrows his eyes at her.
“You caught me.” Shesays and they both laugh. Then they both take a deep breath and laugh again.
“I’m Damon.” He says.
“Bonnie.” She smiles.
A moment of silencefall between them as they just look around at the deserted park, the place istoo quiet that they hear the wind.
She takes a deepbreath, “What am I gonna do with my life.” She says under her breath, but hehears it of course, they can hear anything in this deadly silence.
“Do you have a place tostay at?” it comes out suddenly from his mouth, but he doesn’t regret itanyway. She looks at him with narrowed eyes. “So you are a serial killer?” Shesays and he laughs immediately.
“Whatever, I was tryingto help.” He says.
“Well you might help mewith telling me how to go home,” She says. “Because I might go into anotherbuilding.”
“Well, it’s a goodthing that I don’t feel like sleeping right now.” He says as he stands up andreaches his hand for her.
She looks at him for asecond before taking his hand and standing up, almost falling to her placeagain if he didn’t hold her hand strong enough. She might be really drunk nowthat she thinks about it.
“At least wear itproperly.” He scoffs as he helps her wearing the jacket.
They walk next to eachother, he’s not even drunk, but they keep stumbling into each other as theylaugh like teenagers. It’s more fun that way. Regardless to the fact that theywere supposed to walk the other way to get to her house, everything is fine.
{send me prompt from this list, remember to choose the ship.}
“BONNIE!!” He shouts from his bed and coughs right after. He knows thatshouting is only gonna make it worse but he does it anyway, and maybe it hassomething to do with the way her name feels on his lips.
“What?!” She says as she gets to the room with a cloth in her hand.
“The soup is cold.” He says with a pout.
“I just heated it.” She says with raised eyebrows.
“Well, I feel uncomfortable, the billow is bugging me.” He says.
She glares at him and takes a deep breath before readjusting it for him.“Happy?” She asks.
“Kinda.” He says, faking a pout.
She shakes her head and puts the cloth in the water, then sits on thebed.
She reaches for his forehead and puts the cloth on it.
“You know that you’re acting like a kid?” She says.
“So what, I’m your kid.”He says with a smirk.
He feels all his muscles relaxing, the cold cloth burning from hisforehead. His eyes fall closed with exhaust.
“When I came to this apartment, I thought I’d have a roommate not a kid.”She says, trying to hide the smile and failing.
“Oh come on, Bon-Bon. You can’t convince me that you’re not worriedabout me.” He says, smirking at her and enjoying the way her cheeks turn red.
She smiles without saying anything for a moment, just adjusting thecloth on his forehead so it doesn’t cover his eyes.
“Remember when I first moved in here?” She asks, “We hated each other.”She chuckles.
“What? So we no longer hate each other?” He furrows his eyebrows andsmirks, looking like a kid with the cloth above his eyes.
“No, no, we still do. We just have exceptions,” She says. “Like lookingafter each other when we have a deadly flu.” She smiles.
He smiles while staring at her.
“Well, maybe we can make another exception,” He says with a smirk. “Likecuddling when someone is cold.”
She raises her eyebrows, same smile still on her lips.
“Your skin is burning, but you’re cold?” She asks with much amusement inher voice.
“It’s… complicated.” He says.
“What do you say Bon-Bon?” He asks with narrowed eyes. His hand catcheshers and plays with her fingers.
She looks at him and purses her lips in attempt to hold that obvioussmile. Then she sighs dramatically before talking, “I guess we can makeexception for this time.” She says, and she’s no longer holding that smile, infact she might be smirking as well.
“Move.” She says, faking serious face as he moves aside with avictorious smirk.
He doesn’t pull his hand but leaves it on its place so she lays on it.The fact that she’s avoiding his gaze makes him feel even better.
He pulls the cover on them and wraps his other arm around her while sheputs one hand between his arm and her cheek, and the other one against hischest. He looks down at her and she’s smiling, and it warms his heart.
He doesn’t know why, but whenever he sees Bonnie Bennett smiling becauseof him, he feels like a child, like his heart is jumping in his chest, likethere’s still hope in the world, in him.
His hand rubs her back as he smiles at her, not smirking, just smiling. And she finally looks up and catches that look on his face.
"we’re both sick and that’s the last can of soup, I don’t care if you’re a foot taller and out weigh me by like 50 pounds, I’ll fight you for it." FOR BAMON

Rainy day, sun neverpeeked, the weather is cold, it was one of those days that you just want to layin your bed for the whole day, under your sheets, food next to you, remote inyour hand, television in front of you, heaven.
But instead, Bonnie wasin the super market, wearing what seemed like thousands cloths, the jacketzipped to the end, scurf covering her neck, and her nose as well. She walkedslowly through the place; she didn’t have the energy to even lift her feet fromthe ground.
She covered her nosewith the handkerchief after sneezing for the millionth time. Her nose was red,as well as her eyes.
You could tell thattoday wasn’t her day.
“Ugh, just get what youcame for and go back to your bed.” She mumbled as she walked to that certainshelf.
“Seriously?” She said,as she saw the last soup can on the shelf, standing alone, waiting for her totake her home, sweet home, sweet warm home.
She sighed in exhaustas she reached her hand to take the can, but suddenly she found another handholding it too.
“What…?” She said asher eyes wandered to the person standing next to her.
Tall guy, dark hair, blue eyes, beautiful blue eyes and red nose, also red eyes. She feltlike she saw this before, right! She saw it in the mirror today. Was the wholetown sick or what?
“Excuse me, I wastaking this.” She said, with a smile, thou her eyes were ready for a war.
“Actually,” He said. “Iwas taking it too.”
There was that coldsmile on his face, as if he was talking to some kid, and it made her angry, especiallythat he grabbed the can closer to him. The smile on her face was soon gone asshe grabbed the can closer to herself, “Bad for you, I came here first.” Shesaid.
“How do you know? Youwere practically staring into space like a zombie.” He said, grabbing thecan closer to himself.
“I’m sorry! You knowwhat? Why don’t you just be cool and leave the can?” she said, putting ‘I’mkilling you in my mind’ smile. And she grabbed the can once more.
“Why would I do that?”he scoffed as he grabbed the can again, both their hands still on it.
“Because I got itfirst, and you clearly won’t know how to cook it.” She said, her grip gettingstronger around the can.
“A) You didn’t get itfirst, B) I can cook just fine it’s none of your business.” He said, fakinganother smile and wiggling his eyebrows at her.
“Are you really gonnapull a fight about a soup can?” She asked through her teeth, trying to lowerher voice.
“The way I see it,you’re doing the same thing.”
“I’m sick in case youdidn’t notice.”
“So am I, tough world Iknow.”
“Listen there are othersuper markets in town, go find another.”
“And why don’t you takeyour own advice?”
“I live in the buildingacross the street, now why would I go to another super market?”
Their voices were loud;their bodies dangerously close as they kept grabbing the can from each other. There was fire in their eyes, as they were ready to start the third war.
And they were about tocontinue their glorious fight before someone interrupted them.
“Damon, what took youso long?”
They both looked at theguy standing near them, as he stared at them, confused. His eyebrows gettingfurrowed as his eyes wandered between them.
Neither one of themtook a step back, the soup can was more important than how they looked.
“Stefan, go to the car,I’m right behind you.” Damon said, never breaking eye contact with Bonnie, samefire getting out of their eyes.
“Yeah, Stefan. Yourfriend will be right behind you, you should be fast so you can find another canof soup.” She said, not looking away from those blue eyes.
“He’s my brother, actually,” Said Stefan. “Can someone tell me what’s going on?” He askedimpatiently as he walked to them.
“Your brother righthere is fighting with me on the last can of soup, which by the way, I gotfirst.” She said.
“I got it first.” Hesaid angrily through his teeth.
They didn’t break eyecontact, clearly killing each other in their minds. However, they could hear Stefansighing as he walked closer to them, and put his hands on Damon’s shoulders.
“Come on, Damon. We’llgo to another super market.” He said from behind Damon.
And suddenly, there wasa big shining smirk on her lips, victory shining through her eyes.
“In her dreams.” Hesaid.
“Come on, Damon.”Stefan said again.
“Listen to yourbrother, Damon.” She said.
Stefan was alreadypulling Damon from his arm to move, but Damon was holding the can so strongly, still staring into her eyes. Is it awkward if he noticed how beautiful theywere in the middle of their war?
“Careful, it might beexpired,” He said, “Or maybe full of spiders.” He said before he finally let goof the can as Stefan pulled him more.
She looked at him indisbelief as he walked away, still looking at her.
