All of time and space sounded much more fun and less dramatic when it was first offered. At the beginning, her normal decisions weren't always life or death. Noella had a feeling that the Doctor wasn't always so insensitive and heartless, she had a feeling he used to be wonderful and loving and childish and fun.
Unfortunately, that was the past. Things change, people change, life goes on. The Doctor's heart is mostly steel now, with what Noella assumes to be a small part left for her. But you can never tell with 'bad boys'. Since in the end, they are bad.
The worst thing about bad boys is that they're great liars. The Doctor could hate Noella and she'd never know. That possibility was something that ate away at her state of mind, something she tried her best to ignore, and in most cases she succeeded.
Another part of her didn't care how the Doctor felt about her. As long as he took her on adventures and they could explore all of time and space together that part of her was content.
Of course, this battle with herself was nothing she'd ever tell the Doctor. She wasn't sure of how he'd react, or if he even cared.
"I'm in the mood for battles. How 'bout you?"
