also, i remember in 2015 i came across a blog (i forgot what it is called), and they shared an interesting way go learn vocab in X language (the language was korean for me). they said that lyric analysis is something that really helps, and it does !
HOW TO LEARN NEW VOCAB WITH ‘X’ LANGUAGE SONGS:
1. find a song you enjoy/really like.
2. print out lyrics or write them out! (which ever makes you happy or you think is easier!)
3. grab two highlighters (or more, if thats what you need!) one highlighter will be dedicated to highlighting words you know of, as for the second highlighter, that will be dedicated to highlighting words you do not know!
(if you want, you can add another highlighter and dedicate that to grammar? i would like to also try that out).
4. after you have highlighted all the words you do not understand, you shall add them onto your vocab list. you can name the list ‘(song name) vocab’ and you must (and try) learn all the vocab in a set of days (lets say 3 days or in a week).
