In this world, your tortured days were all pushed together. It had only been years in the human world but for you it was life times. Today Meliodas summoned you into the human realm. Since you were so straight forward to him about the term Emergencies only you answered his call . As you opened the portal and walked through, you were met with a dark area in the woods.
Since the area wasn't familiar to you, you put your hood up as a precaution.
Looking around it was a bit difficult to find Meliodas, so you closed the portal and raised your hand up making a ball of fire.
"No… not quite." The voice came from not far behind you. Quickly you turned and looked in that direction just to find a tall man with light blue hair walking towards you.
Noticing who it was you put down your guard.
"What are you doing here… and where is Meliodas"
"Captain isn't here right now. It's just you and me"
"But… then how did you-" he raised up the feather as he came closer to you, stopping about 2 feet away.
"I swiped it from him… I kept it brief when I asked what it was exactly, but I recognized it’s color and shape. I knew whose it was. The hard part was getting it off of him, it was always on his hip and never lying around. But he said something about summoning you when he explained it, that.. That is what caught my attention. So I took my shot. The question is… will you stay and talk."
You looked at his face as he talked then looked at the feather in his hand all nervous. "...what else did he tell you about that feather?"
"Hmm?...well nothin much. Just that it belonged to someone who's an ace up his sleeve. Which means you must be a pretty big deal."
"....he didn't tell you anything else?"
"What.. is there something else?...tell me." without hesitation you started blabbing out the thing you hoped he didn't know.
"Whoever does the summoning can do or say anything towards I who is summoned no matter what. I am to do as they tell me to and without any complaint." Once you finished your sentence your free hand shot to your mouth covering it. Moments like this is why you get rid of the feathers that lay around
"...huh...so when I told you to tell me what you knew about it. You had to answer?" You sighed and nodded knowing there was no use in holding onto your mouth anymore. "Hmm." He looked at the feather then at you stepping even closer. You took a step back moving just enough but he moved two steps getting inches in-front of your face.
"Come on, I'm not gonna hurt ya." He raised his hand up to your cheek and held it gently while looking down into your eyes. Just looking and thinking of the power he has. "So tell me.... Do you still think about that day?"
"Do you still think about what we did?"
"Do you think about me?... how often."
When you answered those questions Ban looked down at your lips then back at your eyes while caressing your cheek with his thumb.
"....do you miss this...us being so close." As he spoke he stepped even closer to you letting his lips stay just inches from yours as your bodies practically pressed against each other.
Your heart rate started to rise as he asked you more and more personal questions about how you felt for him. But you had to answer.
"Because I have to return home."
"Yes.... how did you know that."
"Then why do you still feel this way towards me? You know what I am and what we did to this world."
"What you are doesn't matter. You're the one I want and no one else. Every day in that cell. The only person I wanted to see more than anyone was you. So stay with me here in this world."
"You're gonna put chains on my feet making me stay?"
"Greedy..... you want me all to yourself." You cut his sentence off saying what was obviously true. He wanted you for himself and always next to him. And that part was obvious.
"Yes. I want you by my side at all times. I want to heal your wounds and be there when you wake up. To hold you so close that we share the same body heat.. So stay. I'll protect you from whoever it is that you're scared of."
".....why would you risk your life for someone you’ve only known for a week and kissed only to be abandoned in the end."
"It was more than just some kiss. Tell me you don't feel the same."
"So just stay." He reached his hand behind you and pulled you just below your wings, being careful with you, making your bodies clash together.
Your eyes locked onto each other's as he gave you time to think of it.
"If I stay. Both you and this world along with everyone on it will be in danger."
"So? I just want to be with you. So what if they get caught up in this." His words ran through your ears hitting a side of your heart no one ever could since the day you left him. The darker side that didn't care if a few people died in your path.
Your mind started to race along with your heart.
~what is this feeling… it's the same feeling from back at the fairy kings forest.. When we were… happy? ~
Before you knew it he was kissing you. Something about this just felt right. It felt perfect even though you knew it was wrong. But was it? The both of you kissed back and forth even pushing your tongues in each other's mouth. Your hands moved to his neck as his traveled down your body, holding on tightly to your waist.
Ban told you to stay, command with the feather or not you couldn't just leave like this again. All this time it was hard for you to imagine how Ban felt seeing you gone when he came back.
"Okay." You spoke between each kiss, making him smile.
"Yes." The instant he heard you say that, Ban picked you up spinning, keeping you tight in his grasp as the feather fell to the ground now useless. Even if you said no. He told you to stay. You had no choice regardless.
Every second of the way, Ban had a smile plastered on his face. He walked, taking it slow when it came to how close you stayed to his side. He was protective over the prize he just won after so long, he was proud. But what would Meliodas think when he sees the two of you together. You were his only inside intel on your father and now that you're not there to help....
Both you and Ban walked along each other's sides. Growing close to where Meliodas was, you could just feel the tension that was waiting. Suddenly Ban stopped walking and you bumped into his back gently while you were looking around. When you looked where he was looking, you saw him looking forward into the darkness.
"Ban." Meliodas slowly walked forward so Ban could see him better. Though you and your brother could see him clearly. "You took something that belonged to me."
"Yeah.... Here..you can have it back." He threw your used feather letting it dart through the air to Meliodas who caught it with ease.
"Well I think it's kinda obvious it has no use anymore."
"I'm not letting her go back to that place so you can forget trying to convince me to."
"That's not for you to decide."
"Then who's to say is it? She. Stays."
"....." The tense atmosphere only grew thicker. You had to do something. At the least, say something.
"Meliodas." You let go of Ban's hand and stepped from behind him, stepping forward to talk to him.
The both of you made eye contact with no words. Just by the pleasing look on your face, you could basically speak to him with no words showing just how much you wanted this.
"Alright. Fine." His whole tone changed as the tense atmosphere disappeared. Now Meli was back to his usual playful self.
Quickly, you bowed as much as your weak back and knees would allow, which was not much as you showed your respects to your brother.
While helping you back up and keeping a tight eye contact with him, Ban stepped forward and in front of you getting between both you and Meliodas being protective even though everything was fine.
"Ban it's fine. He'll let me stay." You put your hand on his chest to try and calm him down, and noticed how warm he was.
"But why. He was against it just a second ago"
"It wasn't that I was against it. Just that you stole from me. Now you owe me something in return.. Let's go, but I need to speak with her soon." He put his arms up behind his head as he turned and began to walk.
As you watched Meliodas walk off, you could feel a pair of eyes glued to your face, then your body. Once you looked up to meet them, Ban landed a kiss on your lips while reaching up to put his hand over the one you already had laying on his chest.
You could feel butterflies in your stomach and smiled at how he was unpredictable, as you've come to find out recently.
Ban pushed a light smirk just seconds before picking you up and carrying you not letting your lips part from his.
He walked, following in the direction Meliodas was headed, following not too far behind. Meliodas led the two of you to the Kingdom of Liones where they were a part of a team. Since it was so late at night, you had to sneak in due to you being a tag along. There were a few close calls but you all managed to get in and to your rooms. After a while of Meliodas arguing with Ban to not do anything with you, Meliodas went to his room next door while Ban carried you to his.
With him being so needy, the moment the two of you were alone he laid you down on the bed and started praising you with kisses and compliments on how beautiful you are.
His words, his actions made you smile and giggle all happy but nervous from the sudden attention and affection. You were his everything and he made you aware of that way.
All night he focused on making you happy, comfortable, and feeling safe. Once he helped your wings with bandages and medicine like once before you easily began to get tired, so he let you sleep across his lap in bed with his jacket over your body while he continued treating your wounds..
You woke up to the warmth of a large fur cover with lots of other sheets and pillows around you including ban's jacket that had fallen from around you. But none of your clothes covered your body..
Slowly, you lifted your head but quickly didn’t want to leave the soft bedding. But once you noticed your clothing was gone, you shot up quickly while holding the fur to your chest, looking around. There were thick and thin reddish curtains closed around the huge bed. You had to peek past some of it, moving it to the side with your finger to see more.
Looking around you remembered where you were, in Ban's room. It was a large room that had a few large windows and curtains that were open letting the light in, accenting the high sealing, large couch and seats, along with the reddish color rug that had some kind of intricate design.
Neither Ban or Meliodas was anywhere in your view and it made you nervous. You were sitting in bed with covers and sheets all around you in place to make sure that you and your wings were as comfortable as could be but this was another world. Slowly you moved to get out of the bed with Bans jacket close to your chest tight in your grip. Just holding onto it gave you comfort.
You grabbed the sheets and wrapped them around yourself with most trailing behind. Slowly getting up covering most of your body, you got to your feet and scanned the walls with your eyes around the room before you turned and jumped a little when you saw Ban tied up at the foot of the bed. When you rushed over and touched him, he woke up slowly opening his eyes looking at you.
"Ban what is this… are you alright? Why are you all tied up!" You reached to help him with the rope with one hand while the other held the sheets to your chest.
"Uhh… Oh the caption did this. I had already bathed you and got you all comfortable by the time he came in here." Ban spoke so calmly and just moved his arms ripping out the rope." I don't know.. He was acting all protective and said I couldn't sleep in the bed with you. So he tied me up here."
"Oh… well... “ you didn't know what to say. If you’d explained to him why he was acting like this he’d know that he was a demon. His whole life built here in the human world would be ruined. “Did you get to sleep alright?"
"Never mind that." He cracked his neck and got up off the floor stretching. "I should be asking you those things." He looked down at you as you began to stand but pulled you to your feet with a smile on his face watching as the light shines through the windows so perfectly making your hair and skin practically glow. Your hair being clean made it feel so light for its length and your skin felt much softer regardless of how many scars and scratches you may have.
Ban pulled you off the floor with ease, spinning with you in his arms. You felt so small compared to him when it came to how large and strong his arms were, it felt like a dream.
The both of you laughed and smiled as you spun around the room. When Ban slowed to a stop, he put you down leading into a slow and passionate kiss.
But, as soon as he kissed you, Meliodas burst into the room in a suit of armor.
"Nope sorry. separate until her dress is fixed." He came in rushing and separated the two of you pushing you just an inch but Ban back all the way to the wall.
"Com'on Captain we weren't doing anything." Ban sighed and looked at you then back at Meliodas who was trying to block your view since there were only sheets covering you.
"Yet.... Anyways, her dress is almost done and should be in while you're gone, I need you outside so come on."
You couldn't help but giggle under your breath at how over protective Meliodas was being of you. It was almost refreshing.
Meliodas dragged Ban out the room before he could say anything to stop him, just a good bye as he closed the door behind him.
A smile spread across your face. There was just something about this world and its environment that felt so… Pure and refreshing and being with Ban just made it even better.
The bed was just so comfortable and cool that you probably slept for hours. By looking at the sun it was probably the middle of the day.
"I'm just surprised I didn't sleep the entire day. I was so comfortable and..." you raised the sheets up to your face while walking to the window. Bans smell was practically embedded into the sheets. It was everything and so was the sun. So gentle yet warm.
"This place.... how could my brother find such a trusting patch of humans… so much so that he's able to live alongside them."
~By the looks of that suit of armor he was wearing. He might be a knight… I'm so happy that Meli was able to find somewhere happy to call home.~
As you smiled distractedly as you looked out the window down at so many humans living their lives, someone walked through the door without warning.
Quickly you turned while conjuring up a ball of fire in your hand. You looked at the woman while holding onto the sheets while stepping back, ready to fight if you needed to.
"Relax. I'm only here to give you this." The woman in armor walked over to a seat and put down a dress similar to your old one, but it had no holes or burns. It was fixed and brand new with enough space for your wings to rest.
"Who are you." You slowly began to put your guard down.
"Im the Bore sin Merlin. But we've met before."
"I've met many people but I've never seen you before"
"You have. It'll click for you later on. But besides that. These were asked of your brother, Meliodas. He wanted you to have more proper cloths than what you already had.. And my real name is *inaudible*" Your guard slowly went down.
"I haven't seen you in so long… no way this is you're true form though"
"You're right, but just call me Merlin. It's easier for humans that way." The both of you chuckled and smiled.
So long ago, the two of you hung around each other very often and even exchanged information just for the heck of it, even laughed like actual friends. But like everything else. Your father kept you apart in fear she would teach you magic, which she was.
You walked closer to her and looked at your dress and then her armor before giving her a tight hug.
"I can get you a suit of armor for when or if you'll be out along with us. Though it's debatable whether or not he or Meliodas will allow it."
"If there's a chance where in will need it then I'll take the chance." You both laughed like old friends before she explained the dress.
"The dress is similar to the one you already had before other than the more present time feel and look. And the back is out technically for your wings, but you won't be needing it most of the time." You looked a bit confused till she handed you a hair stick and a ring. "These things will conceal your wings. You can wear both or either one."
"Does it look like I'm joking?" the smile on her face said it all. She’d done a spell, enchanted these accessories for you. The smile on your face grew so large that your eyes teared up. You took the ring and hair pin from her and instantly you could feel the spell she casted on it. "They work by drawing your power and magic from you. So your abilities will be weaker than normal. By how much, I don't know." You hugged her tightly again and your tears.
"Of course. But I'm not the one you should be thanking.. It was Ban's idea.” slowly you pulled away from the hug looking at her confused. “He wanted you to be comfortable. While also being able to blend in of course."
"I'll be sure to thank him. But you're the one who used your magic and energy to do this for me. And for that I thank you."
It wasn’t long before she had to go and catch up with everyone else. Closing the door, you turned and looked at the dress that laid across the couch. Then you looked at the ring and hair pin. After looking outside one more time you wondered what it would be like to go out there and be with those humans. You'd never had a peaceful conversation with a normal being and it made you curious.
Taking a deep breath you turned to the side slowly and took a good look at your wings. The sun felt so good on them almost as if it were healing the scrapes and bruises by itself. But, they were still hurting and would be in the way of even putting the dress on. So you grabbed your dress and went to the mirror. It was fun trying to pick out what style. With youe long hair, it was a struggle but once you finally got it in its place, the magic from the pin took effect, watching it work in real time, it felt like a dream.
When looking in the mirror, they were gone and the only pain was from the small bruises on the skin. But from what Ban did to help you last night, they were barely as bad as their normal.
Tears of joy started to stream down your face. They weren't invisible, they were actually gone. In a rush you quickly got dressed and put on shoes before looking outside one more time.
Without wasting more time, you ran out in a rush just wanting to feel the sun more.
The air was clear as the sun shines through the clouds. It feels like a lifetime ago since you saw such beautiful blue and white colors scattered around in such designs. Which technically it has. But the best part of all of this was the way you were in a crowd of humans, and no one was staring or in shock thinking you were some sort of monster.
After a few minutes you decided to wander off and explore. While looking around you saw family's, couples, knights, and even some posters of Meliodas, Ban, Merlin, and a few more people.
After a while you sat on a bench and thought about how beautiful this world was. The birds were chirping, the wind was blowing ever so slightly as it moved some of the loose strands of your hair.
Along a pathway surrounded by grass and a few trees, you found a bench and sat down. Closing your eyes you slowly took a deep breath while sitting back. Time slipped from you as you got lost in thought making 30 minutes seem like just 15.
"Well. I finally found you." You opened your eyes to see Ban walking towards you in a full suit of armor with his helmet under his arm.
"Someone seems happy." He sat down next to you and leaned closer kissing your lips gently as he put his arm around you. You kissed him back with the biggest smile on your face.
People started to stare as soon as he walked over. With Ban being pretty popular around here, seeing him walk up and kiss someone was kind of a big deal. But he didn't care what people thought and you didn't even notice the change.
"I've never felt the sun like this before."
"Really." You nodded and took a deep breath as he pulled from the kiss. Seeing you smile like this made him smile.
"I've seen sunlight but not like this. I was always under a cloud of smoke, dust, or trees when outside.... It makes me even more glad that you brought me here. Thank you Ban."
"Of course. That's what I wanted. For you to be happy." Reaching up, you cupped his cheek before kissing him deeply.
"Excuse me?..... EXCUSE me!? Ban!" You could hear the woman but Ban chose to ignore whoever was speaking. “Hellooo!”
When you pulled away from the kiss and turned to look at the person, Ban groaned, clearly irritated. He looked at the person. It was a woman who had her hand on her hip looking pretty angry.
"Ban… who's this." You were concerned but confused all at once. He hummed I don't know while looking at her just as confused as you.
"Who am I?...who are you."
"Umm.... I don't think I need to tell you that." The girl took it to offense and grabbed your arm pulling you off the bench, starting to pull at your sleeve almost ripping it.
"Hey, get off of her!" Ban got up immediately and got between the two of you, blocking your sight. He pulled her arm off of you and moved quick. "Look. I don't know what your problem is. But try that again and you'll have to deal with me."
The girl looked up at him angry but scared at the same time. "I… I thought we had something."
"What are you talking about? I've never seen you in my life."
"The other day." She started to cry. "You looked at me in the crowd and smiled as we made eye contact."
"Huh? I never...." he sighed and rubs his face not wanting her to start sobbing and cause a scene. "Look. I might have looked at you for a second or something, but you were in a crowd of who knows how many people. And besides, the Caption was telling jokes that whole day. I don't recall any of what you just said."
The girl stared at him like her heart was breaking. She raised her hands to her chest and started sobbing. You leaned to the side looking past Ban to look at her. But when she saw you peeking over, the woman tried to make you jealous by moving in for a kiss.
Ban moved to the side letting her stumble and almost fall. You both watched and she threw a fit before running off crying.
"....what was that all about."
He shrugged it off and grabbed your hand. "I don't know but. How's your arm? She grabbed you pretty hard." He felt on your arm, gently feeling for any spots that may hurt.
"It's fine. I've felt worse." You smiled lightly and looked up at him. He was worried about you even though you barely felt anything at all. In an attempt to try and calm him down, you stood on your tippy toes, raised your free arm up and held his cheek while laying a light kiss on his other cheek before his lips.
"I'm okay Ban." You gave him a warm smile and managed to get him to calm down about it.
You giggled to yourself and held his hand while starting to walk and he slowly followed a trail that led around a beautiful flower area. When you stopped to admire a few in particular, Ban seemed to examine them specifically like he was taking mental note of them.
On the way out of the flowers, Ban let go of your hand and put his arm around your waist staring down at you. He smiled to himself just enjoying being able to look at you.
You noticed him looking so you looked up at him. When you saw what he was doing, it was impossible to resist getting nervous.
"Nothing." He just smiled and kept looking at you.
"Well it seems like something's on your mind… tell me-." He cut off your words with a kiss.
Slowly he stepped in front of you with both of his hands on his waist. You raised your arms up and put them around his neck loosely.
Once you did, he picked you up bridal style and started walking.
"Where are we going?" You giggled and pulled away from the kiss to look forward.
"Why? The sun's not even close to being down yet."
"You'll see. Just be patient. We've got an hour to ourselves." He smirked lightly, Ignoring your many questions thrown at the both of you on the way, he just showers you with kisses until he carries you through the bedroom door.
"Okay well… will you at least tell me what's going to happen in an hour?"
"That, I can tell you. But first." He gently put you down while he started to close the door. The smirk on his face got larger as he started eyeing you more now that you both were alone together in private. His hand moved to your hip keeping you close, but also trailing down even lower.
"What's that look for." You smiled and held onto his arm.
"Oh nothing. You know… this room has some thick walls."
