𝙂𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙙 🍝 @bancone.pasta have launched their autumn menu and it includes the BEST pasta dish I’ve ever had in my life. This was also my first time at Bancone and I LOVED it, it’s top quality dishes at reasonable prices. The pasta dish that I’m claiming is my favourite ever is their new pappardelle with sautéed chicken liver, brandy and sage. A lot of people will turn their noses up at the thought of chicken livers, but I’m sure if you give it a go you’ll be converted. You get a certain saltiness that you’re unable to match with regular seasoning. Chicken livers give you a rich intense taste and if cooked perfectly will also be creamy. The brandy brings those warm autumn tones to the dish and take those rich flavours deeper, and the sage brings those citrus notes with an earthiness. Other autumn dishes include the lobster with semi dried tomato, chilli & bucatini, and again the pricing is so good that you’re not even paying a premium for the lobster. The burrata with roasted pumpkin and walnut, along with the Gorgonzola filled palenta were the perfect antipasti, paired with their massive slabs of focaccia. Lasciami da solo questa notte baby

Mi sono fermata in silenzio al bar all'angolo, fissando i mattoncini rossi di queste case un pò spente. Il cameriere mi fissa in modo strano, non capisco se devo entrare e bere qualcosa o starmene qui aspettando che arrivi qualcuno. Tra 2 minuti esatti mi ritroverò faccia a faccia col venditore di fazzoletti che intravedo alla fine della via. Sta zoppicando, ha un cappello di lana, incurante dei 33 gradi che mi offuscano i pensieri, e porta con sé uno zaino nero con dentro un gattino. Intanto il cielo sembra avvicinarsi al tramonto, ma qualche nuvola impedisce il passaggio. Forse si metterà a piovere. Il cameriere continua a fissarmi, e io ho deciso di fare altrettanto. Non capisco cosa voglia da me. Poi mi fa segno di entrare, e così tengo con me i 2 euro che avrei offerto per qualche fazzoletto. Ho preso un caffè col gelato alla nocciola, ho cercato per quanto possibile di intrattenere persino una conversazione con la buffa donna grassa dietro il bancone. Aveva dei denti davvero strani. Lo so che non mi stai ascoltando, lo so che non mi stai leggendo, ma ci tenevo a dirti che io sono ancora qui, al tavolino del bar, con un gelato sciolto e una sedia libera.
