Cain. The name was familiar to Roan, but he couldn't exactly figure out why. Errol cooed from Roan's back, held in place by a makeshift carrier. "I know, bud," he murmured. He heard voices and could see a fire from in between the trees. He made sure to make his presence known and entered the camp with his hands raised to show he meant no harm.
Then he saw the man he had been sent to kiss.
He had seen him before.
"Mutt?" Roan said with a bit of surprise before he grinned. "Nice'ta know ya still alive." He walked over to Cain and grabbed his face, giving him a firm, though brief, kiss. "Guess the no-faces thought I should get'ta see ya again, aye?"
Cain turned his attention to the approaching stranger he saw from the corner of his eyes, but Roan didn't remain classified as stranger for long. At the man's grin Cain offered him one of his own. "Might say the same for you," he chuckled, and opened his arms to hug the other man. However, it would seem Roan had other plans.
The Imperial didn't protest, and simply kissed him back before pulling him into a hug. He froze a little when his arms hit Roan's back and grazed the baby he was carrying.
"By the Gods.. I've been missing out on all the fun again, haven't I?" he laughed, pulling on Roan's shoulder so he could easier see over his shoulder and look at Errol. "What's his name?"
