About 2 years ago, the band I was in (@goodfiction ) came home from a tour I’ll never forget. We had the chances to play a handful of cities, make new friends, play music, and bond as bandmates should. Thinking about the tour has me thinking about the entirety of GF and what that band really meant to me. Everything was fun, even when it wasn’t. From the early days when we played bars we couldn’t even drink in, to when we played to over 1,000 and felt “big” for a moment. @tksda and got into trouble though it. @alex_wolly and I became music brothers though it. @the_bearded_johnson and I continued collaborating in it. And @jacoblukehite and I started our musical bond through it. And that’s just the bandmates, not the countless other relationships which started from the band. I’m so thankful for them and for the experience. There’s nothing in this world like playing loud music for a live audience, and I miss that sh*t big time. I’m sure all of you do to, and we’re getting there. And I know this is a now a ramble post, but the point is for now it’s great to just remember - remember a time before the virus, when we plugged our gear in and jumped into a crowd on a Saturday night. Humans need the company of others, and humans need music. Although GF is done, I’m excited to play live with new material soon(ish). 🖤 U. #bandmemories #livemusic #comeback #bandforlife #tour #memories #musicbrothers (at Albany, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/CM_P7kvJ-go/?igshid=137x19nzw7mrs
