Healing
Brendon Urie is a sweet hyper-active fifteen year old with a hardship license that he required,due to having to take his grandma Lucy to therapy on Tuesdays and Thursdays afternoons. This helps his family out a lot since his parents have to work a lot to pay the bills and when they do have time off its nice to know there is another driver who can run basic errands. He also is allowed to drive himself to and from school, which lets him sneak in some fun stops.
{Ms. Lucy had became a widow after Brendon’s grandpa passed away last year and things have been hard. She recently fell now uses a wheel chair but goes to therapy to practice walking with a walker. She is able to stand for too long but she’s slowly getting stronger everyday.}
Brendon’s parents let him drive their old purple mini van,it is not the coolest car in the world but it gets the job done and Brendon is just happy to behind the wheel and have a bit of freedom. Also anything to help his grandma,{who he is unashamed to say is one of his best friends} is cool with him, he enjoyed their drive and the waiting room at the clinic always had magazines and video games.
On one Tuesday afternoon Brendon came one from school like normal, and greeted his mother Grace who had finished getting grandma Lucy dressed and ready to go. ‘Hey mom’ Brendon ‘said before running to kitchen to quickly get some snacks and drinks to take along with him.
‘Hi sweetie, she replied giving a warm smile, how was your day, do you have enough gas to take your grandma and make it back home?’ Brendon unzipped his backpack and threw in two mini bottles of water, four Capri-suns, two lunchables, gummy worms, one red apple, one green apple and a pack of gum. He beamed feeling satisfied with his selection and then looked up to his mom and said ‘ ‘Mom, you always ask me that, yes I filled up this morning and my day was alright. I might audition for a play that’s coming up, but I still have decided yet, I have till Friday to sign up.’
His mom walked over and ran her hand over his hair, ‘oh sweetie you should definitely audition, you have to share that talent with someone other than us. ‘Besides it will be a great way to make more friends’, Brendon sighed as his mom turned and grabbed her purse, ‘Well I better be off to work, I won’t be back till tonight at ten but your father should be home by the time you guys get back,’ ‘ So please do not completely spoil your dinner by eating all that junk food, please drive safe, I love you both’ was hollered by Grace as she exited the house.
When Brendon pulled into the parking lot of the clinic, he could tell they would be there a while since it was full house. There were many new patients who were starting treatment today, he killed the engine and got out the car taking the wheel chair out of the trunk and the patiently helping his grandma sit down. ‘Ready to go Lulu?’ Brendon asked in a funny voice, Lucy laughed she adored her grandson’s nickname for her. ‘More than I’ll ever be Brenny’, Brendon grinned using the click to lock the door and then proceeded in pushing the chair towards the door.
Once Lucy was checked in and guided down the hall. Brendon took a seat in the waiting room and instantly grabbed the newest issues of Rolling Stone. They had an new article about about Green day that he couldn’t wait to read he flipped through the pages and took out his green apple ready to take a bite when he noticed someone. Two chairs down from him was a boy with beautiful brown hair that covered his ears, he had the most piercing blue eyes,and wore these tight jeans that hugged his hips perfectly. The best part was the annoyed pout that was plastered on his face, it was cute because Brendon just knew when the pout faded, he probably had the most beautiful smile. He also noticed the set of crutches that were set in the empty chair next to him and before Brendon knew what was happening he had closed the magazine and stood. He held onto his apple tightly as he made his way over and this boy he was so intrigued by. he took a deep breath and set down across from the guy, then said ‘ Hi I’m Brendon, are you a new patient here?
