Listening to that band again
I don’t know why I relate to this album/song/band so much. It ticks a lot of boxes I look for in music. Even the music itself really nails a tone and mood that I find absolutely infectious, because it takes me to a place that is emotionally grueling and honest. I feel like baring my soul and writing my own music. There’s a lot of emotional honesty in the lyrics and music. Sincerity is pretty underrated in songcraft. So bummed this band called it quits. I understand there’s controversy, but that doesn’t just erase this connection with lyrics I can relate to, or the melodies that get stuck in my head. It’s hard to just take that away from me.
