The truth about being in the entertainment industry.

“Shut the hell up. Close your mouth. Be quiet. Don’t say that. Say this. Fuck your feelings. I don’t care what you think. Hide your emotions. Bottle them up and keep them there. Hurting? Sick? Suck it up. You’re on my time. Take that off. Wear this. Change your style. Oh, you don’t feel comfortable showing that much skin? I don’t fucking care. Who cares about what you want to wear. Now put this on. You’re too fat. Stop eating. Lose this amount of weight. Now you need to gain this amount of weight. Dye your hair. Cut it like this. Style this way. Talk to her. Talk to him. Cut off all communication with them. You’re going to date her/him. Tonight you’re going out to dinner with her/him. Make sure you are smiling and laughing. Kiss her/him until you catch the paparazzi’s attention so they can take a picture of it. Let him hold you. Let him touch you. Let him grope you for the camera. You better act like you enjoy it. You better not look/act uncomfortable. Act the part. Disobey or stray from the plan and there will be dire consequences. Agree and follow my rules or you’ll be punished along with those you really love. Put this/share that on your social media. Follow this person. Unfollow that person. No questions. You belong to us. We say when you can eat, when you can sleep, who you can/can’t date, when you can move, what you can/can’t say, what you can/can’t do. When we tell you to jump, you will ask how high. We own you.”

Some individuals experience this daily. They have nowhere to run, no place to hide, and no one they can tell. They are a slave, bounded by their contacts. As a result of that, most are severely mistreated and abused. Some of them endure mental, emotional, physical, and/or sexual abuse/harassment.

Unfortunately, they are puppets for the puppeteers (management). Constantly being forced and controlled. They have little, to no, control over their own lives. They are forced to hide their pain behind a fake smile and do as their told. Sadly, they have to live in a constant state of fear; scared of the consequences and repercussions they would suffer if they attempted to speak out or try to rebel.

It’s really sad that they have to put up with all that shit. I just wanted to give anyone in the entertainment industry a shout-out for being one-hell-of-a strong person! I wish you all happiness and freedom to do you and to do what ever the hell you want when you want. You are all talented and should be THE boss instead of working for A boss. You ARE the talent. If they didn’t have you, they would be broke. Things need to change. I hope they do change. They’ve had the upper had for too long. It’s time to take back control and what’s rightfully yours. I love you all darlings! Keep kicking ass and keep slaying! Stay strong!!
