One of the (many) things I hate about the swamp is the utter contempt they have for fans - look at any post they make about ‘nans’ or Sherlocked. And yet, when BC sings on stage with Gilmour they are the biggest Pink Floyd fans ever, when he talks about Bowie they are the biggest fans ever etc.(rinse and repeat)

Fannish behaviour is normal; from the child who loves their local football team to the 80 something who still goes to concerts regularly. It doesn’t matter if your passion is sport, music, opera singers, actors or dog shows. There’s nothing wrong with any of it - being passionate isn’t a sin or something to be mocked. Not having a passion just means you haven’t found what touches you yet.

I’ve travelled all over the world to see my favourite bands and I don’t regret one minute of it (except perhaps that show on Hastings pier).
