Bane in The Batman (2004) is the most amazing character i've ever seen. The only way to describe Bane is literally just: a red hulk or a dc version of the juggernaut. Incredible muscles, nearly 12 feet tall, he breaks almost every single bone in batman's body by tossing him around like a ragdoll. He pins batman near the finale and is about to kill him! He only fails because bruce was able to electrocute him into unconscious. Although bane really only showed up once on that show, I think his one episode stands out. And I really do want to see him go toe to toe with the Hulk. That would be an incredible fight. Because they're pretty much both unstoppable engines of destruction and violence. In an all out fight, these two might end up going for hours.

I feel like the batman telltale games must've been inspired by The Batman (2004). I mean...their versions of Joker are both weirdos who randomly appeared at arkham one day. Their versions of bane both nearly kill batman (although bane from the 2004 show is almost fascinating in his design and indestructible power). Both their versions of the penguin are heirs to old money families who lost everything. And their Mister Freeze interpretations both focus more on the criminal aspects of the character (although the telltale games still do touch on nora a little). I really do see similarities between the two pieces of media, although the telltale games were certainly gorier. At least...I remember watching playthroughs of the villian joker path. Not great, unless you like cutting open men's bodies to remove fake bombs. Or watching as people succumb to the laughing gas of death at surrealistic tea party scenes. It was...yeah, not something i'm comfortable with. But beyond the rating shift, I see the two things as very similar.
