New Music: Shimon - Bankulize x Controlla x Soke
UK based Singer/Songwriter Shimon has released a mashup of 3 hot songs “Bankulize”, “Controlla” and “Soke”.
Speaking on the mashup of the 3 songs Shimon said:
“The song is a mashup of 3 songs with a chilled vybe. As a track it’s supposed to be telling a story. From the first line: 'I've been talking to this lady, telling her that I like her' to the first Controlla chorus, it’s trying to tell a story of a woman that I'm interested in but seems to be trying to mess me around. The Controlla verses talking about "I think i'd die for you" are to confirm my feelings but still point out that she's messing me around. The "Controlla/Ginger you make me" part is to create a build up for "Soke". "Soke" is linked to the first Bankulize part that says: "As she see me on TV, she say she change her mind" as being on TV means "now mo ti lowo, ijo ti wa lese". Ending with the "Controlla" chorus was to still confirm that she hasn't changed, in terms, she's still a "Controlla" even though she wants to pretend she isn't.”
