“It’s the fair in Karakura town!” She proclaimed with excitement. “It’s a lot of fun, and I thought we could take a small break from our work and take a little trip, just you and me. What do you say?”

~*~ The too thin blonde looked up from her spot against a large tree. Her puffy red cheeks and red eyes were an indication that she'd been crying recently. Kaisa hadn't been expecting anyone outside and she'd gone to be alone, feeling the guilt that kept trying to eat at her.

"Hitsugaya-taicho?" she asked softly. That broken tone in her voice sounded so lost, so far away. She knew that as a seated officer she needed to not let what had happened get to her and yet it had. It was her fault, all her fault.

She didn't reach for his hand, no the young soul shifted and uncurled herself from holding her knees to her chest. Emerald eyes were haunted and her blonde hair was in a mess.

"You don't want someone who failed her comrades..." Kaisa murmured. It's how she felt though. She'd failed and failed miserably. Nothing that he or anyone could say would lessen what she felt about herself right now, "I thank you for your kindness..."

"No more than others," Which was to say, not very much. It wasn't like she saw very much of the blonde outside of the S.W.A or off-duty anyway. If anything, she saw more of Isane and Nanao than most Lieutenants, sometimes even more than her own.
