Arnrid Johnston Pets to Keep A forgotten illustrator. You'll struggle to find any mention of Johnston in books on illustration yet she was a prolific illustrator. Born to mixed Swedish & English parentage she studied at the Slade. During her career she illustrated posters for London Underground & The Zoo and children's books for Country Life, Methuen, Puffin, Transatlantic Arts and many others. One of the best illustrators of animals and a more than proficient lithographer. Exhibited her sculpture too. Tom Thumb Enid Marx Marco was fascinated by folk art and the printed ephemera of childhood rhymes and nursery songs and illustrated a number of lithographed books on this theme.
