Banting breakfast at The Red

The excellent menu had items we were not wanting to include in our meal – Dee made “a plan” that allowed us to enjoy their excellent cuisine in the style we choose to enjoy.

The Farmhouse Breakfast had the bacon, scrambled eggs and sausage we wanted but we asked that instead of toast was it possible to include a few mushrooms? Dee rustled up the perfect breakfast…

BANTING BREAKFASTS

KIPPERS WITH POACHED EGGS AND TOMATO AND ONION RELISIH

serves 2

INGREDIENTS

Kippers – cook according to instructions on pack ;-)

4 eggs – poach them

tomato & onion relish – fry the onion in butter, add garlic if you like plus herbs, chop tomato and add to the onion, simmer away

  BACON, BRIE, TOMATO AND ROCKET OMELET                                          Serves 2
