Beyond the heavy screencap analysis we've all done at this point, I wonder too if it's not Abby's hand touching Clarke in Abby's dream because it's a call back to the first shot we see of her in S3 where she wakes up and tells Kane she was dreaming of the Ark. Like Abby is the only character who we're told never gets any sleep, that we visually see sleeping at least once a season.

First of all, I LOVE that the big fandom debate right now is about whether that’s Bellamy’s hand (and thus his dream) or Abby’s hand (and thus, her dream).  I’m on record as solidly team Abby here because Paige has distinctive fingernails, but also because YES to the thing about Abby sleeping/dreaming (beautiful parallel to the S3 premiere) and also because, as we talked about on Meta Station, Erin and I are fleshing out a theory about Clarke and Abby teaming up to do something related to the chip and ALIE’s hard drive at her mansion to try and stop the spread of the radiation, and Abby working with Clarke on a dangerous mission and having a nightmare about that mission failing and her daughter dying because Abby can’t fix the thing is a PERFECT mom angst moment.

ok but my point was that even though i don’t personally hate bellarke - the people that do aren’t fake. they have the right to those feelings and that perspective. so for you to go out of your way to offend anyone is offensive to me and obviously a lot of other kabby shippers. i just don’t understand why you feel the need to go out of your way to *try* to invalidate people, their feelings, or what they choose to ship and why.

Are you just....not catching this:

I’m very clearly pointing out the racism inherent in hating Bellarke for the color of the people in it’s pairing. 

It offends me that people who very clearly hate Bellarke for racist reasons somehow ship Kabby, when Kabby is also a pairing of a MOC and a white woman. 

So like...those people...their feelings are most certainly invalid. 

I do not care about their feelings. I should not have to care about their feelings. 

Also...how is this going out of my way?

I made a post on my blog, that I properly edited and didn’t tag, so it would stay out of your tags. 

If I was going out of my way, I would have typed out Kabby and  I would have tagged it #kabby, #abby griffin, #marcus kane, #the`100. 

I didn’t think I had to break down why I would take offense to people thinking it was cool to ship Kabby but be racist about Bellarke?

This was never about parallels (save the parallel of a MOC being with a white woman), which your fandom hates.

This was ALWAYS about racism.

i don’t ship bellarke at all and fully ship kabby. and while i don’t *hate* bellarke, there are a lot of things about that pairing that aren’t interesting to me. which is okay. because clarke isn’t abby and bellamy isn’t kane. like you could make comparisons and discuss parallels until you’re blue in the face but to relegate them to ONLY that is a disservice to all four people. people can feel what they want to feel about things without being fake. just because they don’t fit into your box doesn’t mean that their feelings are invalid.

Ok...so if you don’t hate Bellarke then why exactly do you think my post applies to you?

It doesn’t.

As an example:

It’s for a very specific subsect of The 100 fandom that rave about how amazing Kabby is and at the same time shit on Bellarke because it features a brown man and a white woman (same as Kabby). 

It’s for the subsect of the fandom that says that Bellarke is abusive because Bellamy handcuffed Clarke once, but ships Kabby and never mentions (or glosses over) that Kane had Abby shocklashed (and her husband floated!).

If you HATE Bellarke and ship Kabby you are fake, I don’t care what you say and how you defend it. 

Indifference is one thing. Apathy is one thing. Absolute HATRED? On another level. 

So...just a question:

This post, which I properly edited so it wouldn’t appear in your tags, apologized for when I realized it was offending people, and re-edited to further stop offensive, is a problem for Kabby shippers who don’t hate Bellarke why, exactly/

it makes me so sad, after an episode like 3x15, to see how fandom handles abby griffin. abby is NOT clarke's lover. she's her mother. and 'mother is god in the eyes of a child.' they exist in an entirely different universe than bellarke or clexa. and there is no competition when it comes to how deeply abby and clarke love each other. that's canon and there are receipts for it - starting from 1x1. period.

ABBY SOBBING HOW SORRY SHE IS BECAUSE SHE LOVES CLARKE SO MUCH

CLARKE THROWING HERSELF BETWEEN ABBY AND BELLAMY’S GUN

THE GRIFFIN WOMEN’S LOVE FOR EACH OTHER IS PLOT-RELEVANT IN THE FINALE, I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT ALL SEASON
